Chapter 30: Concerned Friends

Lily sneaks back in Charles' room and sees George by the fridge. She froze for a bit when he sees her but tried to play it off cool. They made some tea and when Lily sips George suddenly asks.
"So who you boning with" lily spits out in surprise. George chuckles quietly.
"George" she whispers for him to quiet down since the boys are still sleeping.
"Never thought you were this frank jeez" she cleans up the spilled tea.
"is it someone we know?" George crosses his arms as he sips into his tea
"Err.. Just someone" she says.
"He's gotta be in the F1 no? In this hotel too" He goes on detective mode with his eyebrows going up and down.. so Lily had no choice but to surrender.
"Fine.. it's Stroll" she shrugs.
"Guess hate sex is doing you good" He chuckles.
"You're not mad?" Lily was afraid to actually tell him who it was because she knew it was wrong.
"Why would I? If you say you guys are finally on the same page of foolishness then go ahead."
She sighs. "yeah.. atleast its a proper casual sex thing"
"Just don't fall for him again. We've seen you detach yourself from anything, you're good at that but the moment you feel something again.. you should stop it" George comments
"I know.. thank you for.. understanding" she smiles.

We all ate dinner in the hotel buffet after they woke up.
"I miss your cooking though!" Lando says. Lily laughs at this remark because Lando often burns his food.
"Let's stay in your house next time" she says.
"Agreed!" George nods. So this time Pierre and Charles will be the one to fly over.

Qualifying Day~

"Lily!" I hear someone calling me. I look around and see Lance jogging towards me. My eyes widened as he approaches. "Found it" he gives me my scrunchie. I gulped. He waves good bye as he goes to their tower. Lando sees this and I tried to act as if it didn't happen and avoid Lando but he catches me. "No no no ma belle I saw that" He says as he grabs my arm sleeve. "What do you mean" she nervously smiles. "I don't know what you're talking about" she grins and tries to pull away
"No.. don't tell me.. you guys? so.. what are you.. together again??!"
"No.. uh.. just don't tell anyone.. we did hook up but uhh its just.. just that.. no more" she grits her teeth.
"If he does it again to you. What would you then??" Lando didn't seem happy about this. Carlos was right. Lando seems silly at times but if he gets his moody times, he's a bit scary like a big brother.

"I know.. I.. just"  I was going to tell him but his crew was calling him already and he had to go
"Let's talk about this later" he says, so she nods.

Charles finishes 11th for Qualifying

Knockknock

"It's open" I heard Lando so I carefully opened the door and was surprised to see grinning like an idiot while looking at his phone. Hmmm..

"So who's the unlucky girl?" I joked as I sit next to him
"Who's unlucky??" He denies as he quickly flips his phone down
"You're soooo busteeeddd!!" I squealed. Finally Lando has someone he likes. "No noo noo don't make this about me! This is about you!" He starts to get serious

"Landooo Norrissss pleasee don't be serious" I pouted, trying to pass a joke but he wasn't having it.
"Why are you seeing HIM again??"
"I'm nott"
"Bloody hell you are. You're even lying now??"
"No Lando.. I'm actually telling the truth"
"Bullshit"
"Lando.. me and Stroll arent seeing each other.. not dating, just..."
"Just what"
"Just.. I don't know fuck buddies I guess"
"Then why do you sound like you're disappointed with it??"
"I'm not!"
"Do you still have feelings for him then??"
"Uhh..." Lily couldn't answer as quickly as their conversation went
"5 seconds passed. You're hesitating. You still fckng do. Don't you?? You guys are playing around but what happens when he's done with you again?? How can you not think about this Lily??" Lando was getting heated and was now mad at her.
She lets out a deep sigh.
"I just.." she knew this. She knew what can happen and yet she was helpless. She liked Lance. This was her way of getting close to him because after the season she would probably not even see him and the boys.

Lando started to walk around his room in frustration. "I'm sorry" she says quietly
"You know we care about you right? Like we're your family here.. I don't understand why you have to get yourself in trouble again"
"Lando I like him but when I agreed with this arrangement.. I already knew the possible consequences. I'll deal with it by then.. but for now I just really.. want to spend time with him.."
"But he doesn't even feel the same for you"
"I know.. So please keep this a secret..."
He sighs. "Fine. Just promise"
"Promise that once you go into that same situation, you confront it with him and get over it"
"I promise"

"Sorry I raised my voice..." he says as he offers me hot chocolate. "It's okay.. I'm kinda touched that you guys are really like my big brothers" she smiles as she looks her hot chocolate.
"I don't support the idea.. but if it'll help you to go on and move forward.. I guess I can just let you be" he says cooly. "You're very nice.. but I guess that girl is also very niceeeee" Lily teases. "She is" Lando smiles.

"Oh! So you admit?"
"Yeahh.. I've been talking to her for quite some time now. She's... just funny, cute, smart and justtt—"
"Good for youuu! Will we be seeing her in the next sleepover then?" Lily teases.
"If she agrees, yeah" Lando grins at the idea.

Buzzbuzz

Stroll: should I order dinner? I haven't eaten yet 👅
Lily: great timing! I'm hungry too 😬
Stroll: hotel food or your fave?
Lily: mcnuggies please 😊
Stroll: alrighty then 😛

"Go ahead. I can already see you want to go there" Lando says as he gently pushes me towards the door.
"Okayyyy remember to invite her over okayyy" I said as he pushed me out laughing.

Went up to my floor and quickly gone to Lance's room. "Did the food arrive?" Lily asks as she removes her shoes. She went straight to the sink and washes her hands. Lance follows and gives her a back hug, kisses her neck and moves his hands on her sides.

Ringring

Lily accepts the call right away as she sees it was Amber. "Yes? Ohh the report? I sent it already to Joe earlier" she said as Lance continue to explore. She mutes the call and faces him. "Sorry I have to do this" She says as she gives him a quick kiss. "Yeah.. I have it in my storage.. I can send it yeah.. okay" Lance automatically gets his laptop and gives it to her.
"Thanks" she mouthed to him as she sat down on the bed.

After quite some time

Lance got the delivery while Lily was still on the phone with Amber discussing the report. He goes to her and shows the food. She says thanks again.
He hasn't started eating yet. He was just admiring her at this point. He often studied her face even when they first met. It was something he did because he can't predict what she's thinking about. He is always on edge because of her unpredictability. He always thought her as a mystery that he wanted to keep on guessing on.

He sees her smiling and giggling as she finishes the call. These little antics she does put a smile on his face. How can she be so beautiful, he thought.

"Thank you! You should've eaten first" she says as she closes the laptop.
"It wasn't that long" he says he starts to eat with her.
He smiles. Finally a normal day they could spend time with each other's company without thinking about how fast it could end.
