Chapter 23: Little Nightmares

"so today's the last night huh" Lily says as they were fixing Charles' streaming settings. She was leaning on the side of the door while the three boys were cramped in the simulator room. She chuckles.

"yeahh we wanted to spend more time but Lando has a meeting on Sunday" George says.
"Nooo it's okay I really had fun. Thank you boys" she smiles genuinely this time but the boys didn't see it.

"I'm not tired yet. Should we play some games then?" Lando asks. "Since we only have our phones, either we play Among Us or Identity V" Lily suggests.
"I'm pretty sure you guys haven't played that.. have you Lando?" She asks since Lando frequently streams unlike Charles and George.

"I haven't played but I heard about it" Lando seems excited.
"Okay so Among Us is like the game Mafia.." Lily stops.. "I'm guessing you don't know still?"
They nodded.

"Among Us is a game where there's one to three killers and the rest are crew mates. Each crewmate has different tasks. Those tasks will be seen in the map. I can't elaborate but it's relatively easy. Then the killer ofcourse kills and disguises as a crewmate so they wont be voted out to win the game. There's a meeting everytime someone reports the body is found and we get to chat/talk and vote on who we think is suspicious. You can call for meetings even though theres no body killed yet if you think someone is sus" Lily explains and the boys get it immediately.

"Then what's Identity V?"
"Identity V is like.. so there's five players.. one killer too. But each character has their own skill set. The goal is to escape the area. They also have sets of tasks to do. Killer does everything to trap and catch the players. It's kinda the horror type"

"That seems interesting too" George says.
"Okay let's go for Among Us today!" Charles suggests as he sees the yellow crewmate.

They've download and played anonymously online. At first everyone was struggling with the tasks but after a few laughs and games. They finally got the hang of it and the games got a little bit more competitive. George learned how to vent now, Charles even gets away with being an impostor and Lando learns self-report but of course everyone struggles at Card Swipe.

"Whoa look at the time! It's already 11pm boys" Lily says as she fluffs the pillow she's been hugging.
"This was really fun. We should play on stream" Lando says. "Why not!" Lily nods.

The boys were fixing their places and this time Lily feels more comfortable with them.
"Can I— Can I sleep here?" She asks.
"Well yeah but its cold on the floor" George says.
"You can sleep on the couch mon chou" Charles hands over his blanket. "Thanks" she tucks in and looks at her side.
"You boys look funny from this angle" she chuckles.
"Good night mate"
"Good night Lily" Charles whispers.
"Goodnight boys"

"no.. nooo.. I can't.. don't.. please" Charles hears Lily struggling with her nightmares again. He wakes up and holds her hand.
"I'm here Lily.. I'm here ma chère" he removes the sweat on her forehead with his hands.
George woke up as well. "What happened?" He whispers.
"She's been having nightmares since Barcelona" Charles whispers back. They were cautious so that Lando wouldn't wake up too.

After a few times that her name has been called, Lily stops and wakes up finally. She opens her eyes to a both worrying George and Charles staring at her.

"I'm sorry I woke you guys up" she whispers.
Charles shook his head. "It's okay. We're here. You're safe now" he rubs her back and assures her that she is protected.

"Thank you.." she whispers
"You guys should sleep some more"
"Just hold my hand okay?" Charles says as he lays on the floor next to the couch. She nods and sleeps in again while holding his hand.
