They froze.

Sadie slowly turned around, looking at the man.

-We don't want any trouble. We got lost and the door on the other side of the path closed. We heard announcement but we couldn't find a way out of this closed path. We'll give our phones to you. Please don't shoot., lied Sadie taking her phone out.

-Okay. One after the other. And then you'll follow me out of here and join the other hostages., replied the boy.

He wasn't a man, well, maybe in his 20's but not older.

-Alright, I'll come first to show my friends that there's no danger as long as we obey. Is that okay?, replied Sadie acting scared and unsure even if she had a plan.

-Yes. Come forward, your hands up, your phone in your hand., ordered the boy.

Sadie nodded, put her phone in her left hand, lifting her hands in the air, slowly walking towards him. The boy reached out one hand to take the phone. Sadie internally smirked, grabbed his hand with her left hand, pulling him up to her and punching her with her right elbow, knocking him out. She searched his body, finding handcuffs and cuffed him on the gate behind them. She grabbed his belt, put it in his mouth in case he'd wake up and scream and she then his walkie-talkie. Afterwards she simply took his gun which had a silencer.

-What the actual fuck?, frowned Jillian.

-Sadie has the black belt in 3 different martial arts. Let's say that we're lucky that she's passionate about that., explained Teagan.

-That's impressive., admitted Lilia still holding Jillian's hand.

-Do you even know how to use the rifle?, asked Millie.

Sadie didn't answer, but instead loaded the gun and put it on safety mode, smiling at Millie.

-Of course she does., scoffs Jillian.

-Okay now that, I did not know., added Teagan.

-My dad used to take me to the shooting range. It's not a big deal so let's just keep moving., replied the redhead.

-She's right. Let's go., said the girl with curly hair.

-But where? And what about the other footsteps?, asked Lilia still clinging onto Jillian.

-If anyone shows up, I'll shoot. And I don't know where to go but we're sitting ducks here., replied Sadie.

-I know where we could go. There's an abandoned game that they closed for renovation, meaning that it's empty and there are no cameras there., explained Millie.

-Sounds good. Lead the way., nodded the redhead.

Millie nodded and started walking, making her way through the path, Sadie walking by her side, gun in her hand.

-Is that really necessary?, sighed Millie looking at the gun.

-Unless you want to get shot, yes. Yes it is., replied the older girl.

-Fine. Just be careful with it. It's not a toy., said the brunette.

-What do you have in mind with the radio thingy?, wondered Teagan.

-You mean the walkie-talkie? Well, that's a good way to know their next moves. We need to know what they know and what they want., explained Sadie.

-Smart., smiles Teagan.

They arrived at the end of the path, another door to be unlocked. Sadie grabbed her pocket knife again and picked the lock. She could see Lilia's terrified expression, so she walked up to her.

-Hey, how about you hold onto this knife for me, okay?, smiled the redhead softly.

-Really?, replied Lilia unsure.

-Yes, that way you get to keep yourself and your girlfriend safe., added Sadie.

-We're not- I mean, we are but- I...okay., nods Lilia avoiding Jillian gaze, taking Sadie's pocket knife.

The curly head simply kissed her temple, smiling softly.

-We're not that far away anymore. We can continue through a second shortcut., explained Millie to Teagan.

-Where to?, wondered the younger girl.

-To the right. You see that dark green door? It'll lead to the backstage of the abandoned game's entrance. If we get to sneak inside, we'll be able to hide in there., added Millie.

Millie was about to walk out when she felt a hand around her wrist, making her tense up.

-Stop. Look., said Sadie pointing at 3 men with rifles walking past the green door.

-I said, don't touch me. Do it again and I'll fucking slap you., replied Millie.

-Oh sure, next time I'll simply let you walk into danger and get yourself killed. Sounds good to me. What's your problem?, scoffed the redhead.

-Nothing. Fuck off., said the brunette freeing her wrist.

Sadie peeked and look around, not seeing the men again.

-Okay, let me run first, I'll get the door open and then you'll join me., said the older girl.

Everyone nodded, so the redhead took her gun, opened the door completely and ran to the other side. She then noticed that she had given her knife to Lilia and therefore couldn't pick the lock. She looked back at the girls and sighed. She took her gun and shot the lock. Luckily it didn't make a noise due to the silencer. She signaled the girls to come join her once she made sure that it was safe. The girl ran over to her, walking inside. It was creepy to say the least. But as Sadie had luckily packed many unnecessary stuff, it included two flashlights.

-Okay, this is giving me the creeps., said Teagan walking inside.

Sadie handed Jillian a flashlight and to Teagan.

-What about me?, frowned Millie.

-You can have my phone if you want?, shrugged Sadie.

-No. You keep your phone., sighed the brunette.

-Wait, shut up., replied Jillian.

Everyone shut up and heard a metal piece falling on the ground in the end of the hallway.

-Get behind me. Now., ordered Sadie taking her gun.

They oddly obeyed, not thinking twice. Sadie slowly walked through the hallway.

-Shit., said a voice and then there some fast footsteps.

Someone was running away.

-Stay here., said Sadie and then started running, following the steps.

She eventually caught up and tackled them, making the person yelp. Sadie held them still and grabbed her phone for the light.
