-Okay, let's go., sighed Sadie as she walked out, closing the door behind her.She looked around, not seeing anyone so she just walked through the building. Luckily, she had studied the entire building by heart in case anything would bring her to that specific building. She was aware of her aunt's plan, so she was aware that she would use that building to hold Millie captive and then "take care of her". She walked through a path that she had memorized. The hallways were empty. Until they weren't. She saw a man walk out of a room. He looked at Sadie, then at who she was carrying. Sadie tried to play it cool.
-What do you have there?, he asked, pointing at Millie.
-Oh, my aunt told me to take her to this one room to get her prepped for the next phase of the plan., lied Sadie.
-Oh. I see. Why you though?, asked the man.
-Cause she trusts me? I'm family, unlike all of you. She knows I got her back., continued Sadie as she kept walking towards him.
-Yeah, makes sense I guess. Okay. I'll walk you to the room., said the man.
-No. You can't., replied the redhead as she kept walking, now walking past him.
-Why not?, frowned the man confused.
-Cause I gotta get her undressed. We may be criminals but letting a grown man watch me undress a girl is way too creepy. So no. You're not coming. Thank you though., nodded the girl.
-Oh. Yeah. Okay. Well, I'll go back to my job., said the man.
-Yeah. Oh and by the way, I think there was a slight emergency on the third floor. I heard some screaming., shrugged the redhead.
-Thanks. I'll go check it out., replied the stranger as he walked away towards the stairs.
Sadie kept walking, feeling Millie's tense body in her arms.
-Relax. I got you., whispered the redhead.
-No., was all Millie said as she held onto Sadie tighter.
Sadie sighed and kept walking, now going to the fire exit. She walked down the stairs quickly, hoping she wasn't being followed. She just kept rushing down. She could see the exit. She stopped walking.
-Okay, I'm going to put you down. We need to eventually run though. Are you up for that?, asked the redhead as she stopped carrying the brunette.
Millie clenched her jaw and nodded.
-Alright., sighed Sadie and walked up to a door.
She opened the door, seeing the bright sun.
-Jesus., said the redhead, being blinded for a second.
Millie pushed past her and started running away.
-Millie, wait!, yelled the older girl but the brunette was already running.
She sighed and ran after her as fast as her legs allowed her to. She tried to follow her but also avoid any attention. It was not easy. A lot people around the park who were being hostage and the men with the red t-shirts. She ran faster, catching up to Millie. She grabbed her arm.
-Wait., said the redhead.
Millie responded by slapping the older girl across the face. Sadie felt it stinging. She clenched her jaw and nodded.
-Yeah, I deserve that. And a lot more. But right now, let's get you back to the others. Then you can hate me as much as you'd like. Deal?, said Sadie, still holding her arm.
Millie looked at her with so many different emotions. She then shrugged and kept walking to the direction she was running to. Sadie walked with her, still looking out for any weird people or suspicious activity. She could see the building they had been hiding in. She walked up to the hole that Millie had done, helping Millie climb up. She then followed her in, being met by her friends. Teagan walked up to Sadie and hugged her.
-Wha- I thought you don't like those. And by those, I mean hugs., joked Sadie.
-Shut up. I thought they got you., said the other girl, not letting go.
-Look at her face. Pretty sure they got her., said Lilia, pointing out her bruises and cuts on her face.
-And why does Millie have your hoodie on?, asking Jillian, who was also hugging Millie.
-She's a traitor., replied Millie, not pulling away.
-Huh? Who?, asked Olivia, confused.
-Sadie. She's been working for Margot. She's her aunt. Sadie is her niece., explained Millie.
-What?!, frowned Teagan, now pulling away.
-Guys, I can explain-, tried Sadie.
-So it's true?, asked her friend again.
-Partly. Just let me explain., tried Sadie yet again.
-Fuck you! You've been fooling us this whole time!, yelled Lilia.
-Have I? Have I really? Cause last I checked, I was the one killing those men in their red t-shirts to protect you. No? I got shot, if you didn't forget., scoffed Sadie.
-That could all have been a scene that you all planned., replied Lilia, not knowing what to feel.
-Millie's father sent me here. Okay? He sent me here to protect Millie. So please, spare your judgement. I dont care what you think of me, as long as I keep you all safe., said the redhead, trying to stay calm.
-How are we supposed to believe you? Just like that? Hm? You could have told us! You could have told me. I'm- I'm your best friend, for fucks sake!, yelled Teagan, tears in her eyes now.
-I couldn't. God, I wanted to! But I couldn't, T. He wouldn't let me. He made me promise. I'm sorry, okay? I really am. I swear., admitted the older girl, trying to calm her friend.
-I don't believe a word you say. I...No., said Teagan as she shook her head as she exited the room.
Sadie clenched her jaw, ignoring the girls looking at her. She needed to stay calm. She was trying to. She had to let it go tho. She grabbed the mattress that was laying on the floor, placed it against the wall. She then started hitting it, over and over again.
Millie shook her head, leaving the room, along with Lilia and Jillian. Sadie kept hitting the mattress, not planning on stopping until she had let go of every ounce of anger that was in her. Olivia watched her, sitting on a table. Sadie felt the eyes and turned around.
-What?!, yelled the redhead.
-You messed up. You should talk to Millie., said the brunette blankly.
-You- You think I didn't try that! I tried to talk to her! She wouldn't talk to me. She wouldn't listen! How am I supposed to talk to her, hm?!, yelled Sadie, feeling her anger grow.
-Stay here., said Olivia, leaving the room as well.
