The young girl started sobbing in her sister's arm's.
-You're okay. You're safe, Jacey., said the older sister as she held her close.
-I-I lost mom and dad. I don't know where they are. I got lost in a crowd and- and then I saw those bad men with guns so I- I hid here., stuttered the little girl as she hugged her sister tighter.
-You've been hiding here since the beginning?, asked Sadie, rubbing her back gently.
-Yeah., nodded Jacey as she tried to calm down her crying.
-You're safe now. I'm here. I got a hideout with some friends. You'll be safe with us., said the redhead, trying to get her to calm down.
-But mom and dad..., said the younger girl, pulling away.
-I'll get you to them when it's all over, okay?, added Sadie, giving her a reassuring smile.
-I miss you at home. Mom and dad...they yell a lot., admitted the sister as she looked down.
-Do they yell at each other or at you?, frowned the older sister.
-Depends., shrugged Jacey, wiping her last tears away.
-I'm sorry, Jace...but I can't come back home., sighed the redhead.
-I don't understand why you left., admitted the younger girl.
-I didn't leave, Jacey. Mom and dad threw me out., replied Sadie.
-But why?, asked Jacey again.
-It's complicated. How about I tell you once we're out of the park, hm?, suggested the redhead.
-Mokay., nodded the little girl.
-Now, I'm going to carry you to the hideout so we're faster, okay?, said Sadie as she got up.
-Okay., replied Jacey, looking up at her sister.
-Want a piggyback ride? Just like old times?, asked the older girl.
-Yes, please., said Jacey, a smile on her face.
-Alright., chuckled Sadie.
Sadie turned around, getting on her knees and waiting for Sadie to get on her, which she did. she then got up, holding her sister by her legs as she held onto Sadie, wrapping her arms around her neck. The younger girl giggled.
-You ready? No talking or laughing until we're at the hideout, okay?, said the redhead quickly.
-Yeah, okay., nodded the girl, hugging her sister tighter, having missed her.
Sadie couldn't help but smile at that. She then grabbed her pocket knife that she had used for the bomb and put it back in her pocket. She took her gun out and walked out of the building. She looked around, not seeing anyone, so she started running. She ran instead of walking, wanting to catch up with Teagan. She eventually just arrived at the hideout, knocking at the new passage.
-Guys, let me in., said the redhead as she waited for them to open up.
Jillian opened up, a gun in her hand.
-Hey, dont fucking aim your gun at me right now. I got my little sister with me., said Sadie, motioning her sister on her back.
-Oh shit. Sorry. Just being cautious., apologized Jillian, stepping aside and letting Sadie in with Jacey.
Teagan was worriedly waiting for Sadie, relieved as she saw her.
-Wha- Is that little miss carrot?, chuckled Teagan as she recognized Jacey.
-Teagan!, smiled the little kid, basically jumping off Sadie's back and running towards her, doing some funny handshake.
-Woooow. She missed you more than me., joked Sadie, smiling at it though.
-No. I just don't see Teagan at all anymore. I miss her., shrugged Jacey, standing next to Teagan.
-I know, little one. I was joking., smiled the older sister.
Millie and the others showed up.
-We heard a child screaming, are you guys okay?, asked Olivia.
-Yes. Sadie found her new sister though and brought her here., replied Jillian, locking the door again.
-Oh. That's nice. Wait, you brought your sister to the park even though you knew that this was gonna-, started Lilia.
-T, can you show Jacey around? I wanna have a word with the girls., asked Sadie, interrupting Lilia quickly.
-Yes, of course. Jacey, wanna what I found?, said Teagan as she took Jacey's hand in hers and walked away with her.
Sadie turned to the girls.
-No. This wasn't my idea. My parents wanted to celebrate Jacey's birthday today, so they brought here. Jacey wouldn't come without me though, so my parents had to stop being mad at me and ask me to join. I told them that they shouldn't come here today, that I didn't have a good feeling about this and I tried to convince them, but they wouldn't listen. So yes, I joined them and came here with them, in hopes of being able to keep Jacey safe. Then I went to look for Teagan, cause she texted me that she was also here and wanted to surprise Jacey and me. So I left Jacey with my parents to tell Teagan the truth and ask her to go home. But then we ran into you guys and Margot's plan began. I then had to protect all of you, hoping my sister was safe with my parents. She lost them in a crowd. She hid at the place where we found the manhole opener. I-I tried protect everyone but I...god, I'm a bad sister., sighed the redhead as she sat down on a bench.
-You're not a bad sister, what the fuck? You tried to stop your parents. You then tried to protect the people you care about. Stop blaming yourself. You're a good and genuine person., replied Olivia, shaking her head in disbelief.
-You really are., added Millie, nodding.
-Well, I don't feel like I am., shrugged Sadie, looking at them.
-You don't have to see it, but trust us, we see it. You're a good person., said Millie once again.
-Alright, we're gonna get ready to leave now., said Jillian, walking away with Lilia and joined by Olivia.
Sadie looked at Millie.
-Thank you for that., said the redhead.
-Of course. Now let's get out of here, yeah?, said the brunette as she grabbed Sadie's hand.
