Jon's POV
The gang and I were walking to our next class, Algebra 1. I kept the book underneath my bed in my bag along with the translation of the Night Fury page.
Ally spoke, "We have to translate more of that book! There might be something about why they disappeared! Or if they're coming back!"
"Keep it down will you?!" I demanded. "Look! Even our own teacher doesn't believe the book exists! We can't just throw words around!"
We walked into our class being the last ones there we took the seats in the back.
"We'll start with basic algebraic expressions!" The teacher began writing stuff in the board.
I turned the gang and whispered, "I'll translate more tonight and let you know in the morning."
Algebra class dragged on for what felt like hours on end. The bell finally rang and it was time to go to lunch. The gang and I followed the crowd to the lunch building. We grabbed our lunch and find a secluded table in the corner.
I finally decided to ask the legendary question, "Do you they're coming back?!"
Ally almost dropped her sandwich from shock, "Are you serious?!"
"I'm serious. What if they're supposed to come back?! Reincarnations?!" I pleaded.
"Dude. They're gone. Died. Disappeared. Extinct! I don't think they're supposed to come back!" Tyler explained.
Ally defended him, "He's right Jon. They disappeared for a reason! To protect themselves! From us!"
"But..."
Ronnie spoke up, "Drop it man..."
"Fine..." I sighed and took a bite of my sandwich.
