Jon's POV
I sat in my room alone with the book. Ally and the gang went to the library to find any books on anything related to Berk. Instead of doing the other pages about dragons I went to Hiccup's journal. I spent hours translating his journal. He told his story about how he shot down the Night Fury on the night of a dragon raid. He explained how he was the first person to train a dragon. Of course he had to build a prosthetic tailfin for the Night Fury and had to teach him how to fly. Hiccup told everything, every little detail. I finally got to the part where he explained what happened to the dragons.
I read out loud, "It was a normal day on Berk. Or so I thought. The dragons started disappearing. Friends of mine couldn't find their dragons. We looked all over the archipelago. Toothless and I searched the planet what it seemed like. We found dragons. Dead. Killed. We soon figured out that people were killing dragons for their scales. I was mortified. All of the dragons just flew away one day. Gone. No sight of them. Toothless couldn't go anywhere because of his tail. He never liked the automatic one I made for him so I never put it on. One day I had a nightmare of what would happen to the dragons if they stayed. I knew what I had to do. The next morning Toothless and I stood on the cliff with the automatic tail already on. I said goodbye to my best friend in the whole world. No more exploring new islands. No more winning wars and battles. No more Toothless. As he took off into the sky never to be seen again I remembered all the good times we had and remembered that he would be safe from the evils of this world. I stood there remembering a few words from my nightmare, 'They'll be back. Don't worry Hiccup.'
I closed the book and sat back. I rubbed my face from exhaustion. "So they will be back." I said out loud. "I'm right."
A text from Ally: Nothing in the library so far. Getting late. See ya tomorrow. I got into bed and closed my eyes sending myself into a dream. Walking in a forest I noticed how familiar it looked to me. I soon stood on the edge of a cove. Berk. I was at Berk. I jumped down into the cove with ease. I looked around enjoying the sight. This is where Hiccup became the first to train and ride a dragon.
"It's beautiful isn't it?" A man walked from the shadows with his hands behind his back. He looked a lot like me.
"Hiccup?" I asked shockingly.
"Yes Jon. You're a direct descendant of me. You even have my middle name!" He stated. "Anyway, don't tell your friends what you just read. They can't know yet."
"Why not?" I asked.
"Did my friends know when I trained a dragon?" He simply said.
I shook my head.
"Jon your time is coming..." He whispered.
"What do you mean?" I asked.
"I mean, history is going to repeat itself." He muttered stepping closer to me.
I gasped stumbling backwards, "What?!"
"The time for dragons is coming again..."
