Chapter 13

Jon's POV

I had to get to Shadow. It was the next day and the gang and I decided to watch this Dragon Training to see what it is. From what I learned it was the second day of training. We sat there on a bench watching. Bard stood in the center with a group of teens looking at him.

Bard announced, "Today we'll start with the Deadly Nadder. As you see there is a maze. Your job is to not have the Nadder find you."

He pulled the lever and Sky burst out. Ally stood up and rushed to the barrier. I pulled her back. "Hey! You can't just do that! Come on!" I took her back to the bench and she was sobbing.

The gang and I watched in horror as Sky was beaten with a shield and hammer. "HEY!" I shouted when Sky was dragged back into the cage. The group looked at me as I jumped down into the arena.

Bard looked at me, "Hey kid! Beat it!"

I got face to face with the guy that beat up Sky. "You have no right to beat her! Sky is an amazing dragon! You're lucky you didn't get burnt to a crisp!"

"The beast has a name?!" He asked.

"That dragon isn't a beast! Sky is amazing and see that girl up there!" I pointed to Ally. "She rides Sky so next time you hurt her dragon or any of ours I'll be coming for you!" I threatened.

The gang jumped down into the arena and pulled me away from the kid. I was fuming but I needed to get to Shadow.

Ronnie was hanging onto one of my arms, "Calm down Jon!"

"Awe you have your friends to back you up!" The kid said.

Ally rushed forward and punched the kid square in the jaw. She pinned him to the ground and punched him again. "That's for my dragon! And that's for my friend you jackass!"

I ran forward and yanked her off. "Ally come on it's not worth it!"

The gang and I tried to calm her down.

"Hey you!" The kid said.

I ignored him.

"I'm coming after your Night Fury next!"
