Sophie's POV

Then we sat across each other throwing fake smiles and pretending how much we treasured each other's company but there was an deceptive uneasiness between us. Especially in between me and Mrs. Wilson while our partners were engaged in their professional talks.

' It's it too hot in here. We can stroll in the garden after we are done with our dinner.' I suggested seeing Mrs. Wilson's awkward nature. She threw a faint smile and began eating again.

' Oh my God ! Totally my six year old is quite stubborn that way. She is also likely to throw tantrum when it comes to food.' I gawked at her in an awe tracing her from top to bottom.

' You have a daughter a six year old.' She nodded in reply. My mouth remained wide opened. Only if I had a six year old and have a body like just college passed out.

' What is on the other side of the wall ?' Then there was the nostalgia of memories flashing right before my eyes.

' There is a lake.' I said barely any emotions reflected from my voice.

' We can sit there and talk.' I gazed towards the fence on the wall.

' I can't. ' I moved my head in disagreement.

' Okay but can I ask you why ?' I looked in her eyes I know this was dark barely my face was visible to her but I knew she was able to see my inability through my eyes.

' I am not allowed too.' The tears filled at my eyes I was at the verge of breakdown.

Suddenly I felt eyes settled on me I didn't even turn to know who was it because I knew.

' Sophia and Mrs. Wilson get inside.' A manly husky familiar voice shouted from behind.

I was well aware that if I ran I would be an easy chase he would detect me within minutes and the penalty I had to pay would be my freedom.

He had not only sabotage me but my inner values and I was the one that give him gun to trust enough that he won't pull the trigger.

We moved inside. Mrs. Wilson's gazed fixed upon me. Then there were Adrian and Alarick standing next to each other.

' You both seems to enjoying each other company. Maybe you both should hang out together. ' Adrian declared Alarick gaze flickered onto him and back at me again.

' Sophie actually have health issues.' He put his arm around my shoulder and his wide grin spread from ear to ear.

' Rebecca. You should visit Sophie.' Adrian threw smile which Rebecca reflected.

' Sophie. Actually you know it's quite stressful for her. She is mentally ill.' I gazed at him open mouthed his stood there thunderstruck while he threw me his untrustworthy shameless smile.

Adrian and Rebecca looked at me with their keen eyes. I didn't utter a word but if I don't tell something my face must definitely will. I was mortified and wanted to strangle Alarick with my bare hands but I hinder those ideas for my own sake.

Rebecca hugged me while Alarick and I stood there for giving warm farewell.

' If you need someone to confide in. I am always there.' She whispered in my ear and something in air changed I saw a ray of hope because she sensed something unsual when she saw at me and Alarick back.

' I don't have a mobile . Can you visit me tomorrow ? ' I looked at her face pinning my all hopes to her my eyes were wet and I was eternally happy and grateful.

' In evening I'll be there.' She put her hands on mine assuring me.

Then I noticed Alarick's eyes narrowed towards us. His attention was on Adrian's face but he was vigilant about possible danger.

' Okay. Rebecca. I mean why don't you bring Sasha when you come next time over here to visit us.' With a hesitation I spoke little louder than usual voice but it was enough to deviate Alrick's full attention to Adrian but my heart was pounding louder.

We greeted Adrian and Rebecca a warm farewell.

' I must say your girlfriend is vibrant person never did I felt bored when she spoke. She can make her presence felt.' I blushed and was looking down then my gaze went to my boyfriend's face.

' Your wife doesn't even need to make her presence felt. She would get noticed as she enters the room .' Alarick reverted back.

Then me and Alarick started strolling towards our own room.

' Didn't you felt jealous when I was complimenting Mrs. Wilson ? ' He sounded as if he was bragging that he can obviously choose anyone above me.

I put my hands on his shoulder and my face was still looking forward not meeting his eyes.

' For that Mr. Rodriguez I should care enough about your opinions on any lady or anything I am not envy of her.' I smirked and walked towards my room.

When I felt asleep on my bed my blanket covering my face. Suddenly I heard door creaked and something felt on my bed before I would wake up.

I felt hands on my neck and it tightened hold around it. It was strangling me I was suffocated I tried to kick my legs tried to breathe air in but nothing lessened it's hold. I squealed I felt pair of legs running outside the room.

I ran screaming and I saw James following me behind he was half asleep and his hair were messy.

Then he turned towards me and I slapped him with full force.

' You strangled me. How dare you ? ' He saw me with his bright red face.

Seeing all the drama I saw Alarick opening his gate behind me.

' What is happening ? ' He enquired with a raised eyebrow.

' How dare you ? Answer me James.' I demanded .

' Can someone bother enough to explain me what's happening ?' Alarick questioned I frowned at innocent him.

' Ask your Sherlock Holmes.' I scowled with he seemed perplexed and stood there motionless.

' Sherlock Holmes.' He rolled his eyes on James.

' The one you have hired to keep his eyes on me. Today he entered my room and tried strangling me.' I replied with sarcastic tone with something flickered on Alarick's face.

' I did nothing of that sort. She was screaming out loud I just got out of my room to see what's the matter.' My eyes remained opened it's just white lie I looked back at Alarick.

' James. Go to bed.' Then I saw James walking towards stair furiously.

' Sophie. To bed. Now.' I stared at him and though I had tears in my eyes I refused.

' Alarick. I am not going to sleep tonight. You want to kill me and you send James for that .' I sighed and looked aside while he left.

I sat on floor while hugging both my legs and cried my heart out.
