Day - ONE

Vows

Sophie's POV

Emma and I reached at the venue where wedding was supposed to take place. I made a low bun and strands of my hair coming out at the sides I wore a maroon backless dress and paired them with maroon shoes the dress embraced my slender physique elegantly. I felt beautiful I wore a watch which as a surgeon I am often asked to not wear it inside operation threatres.

' How did you manage to look so better than me ? I had planned this outfit two months since advance.' I looked at her gown but that looked stunning but she wore light green eyeshadow , sweaty hair as she flung hair open in the humid climate today had made it worse.

' You look good.' I confided her and threw a smile at her.

' You are saying that to comfort me.' She spoke with frustration in her voice.

' I'll fix your makeup after we once greet Noah on his big day.' I gave her confidence because shit like this happens on best days.

It was surreal and beautiful . From the cieling white candles placed with glass lanterns providing it a romantic touch.

The wooden was carved by name of Noah and Alyssa in big font and italic handwriting. The flowers were on aisle after regular intervals of white , pink and baby pink colour that was flown from Holland for this wedding. A huge flower ring at background and with big flowers and at side the bouquet of flower was kept. Everything was lavish and grand here.

The blue glass aisle and with beautiful black and white stones at side the water filled the aisle below and the reflection of the water could be seen on the cieling.

I saw Noah standing with the priest discussing something. He was wearing grey tuxedo he was looking ravishingly handsome his hair well groomed his muscular physique and light beard he was tapping his foot on the ground while occasionally paying attention to the priest.

Suddenly many guests started to fill the white seats. Jasper was standing near me.

' You look stunning. Sophia.' I heard voice from behind I blushed at coloured man standing behind me.

' You too Andrew.' I saw his him wearing navy blue suit that quite suited his fit body.

Then Emma went to the room bridesmaid getting ready after she came with fixing her face she no longer looked as if she came straight from bed. She went where Alyssa was getting ready and Cassie did a fine job in fixing her face.

I turned around to see Mrs. Rodriguez she stills looks as if she is in her late twenties she has short layered hair , put on diamond jewellery , wearing light pink dress , has blue eyes, dark black hair and plumpy lips. Beauty runs in veins in this family . A thought occurred to me. She was going on about how she can steal light from her daughter if she wants but she doesn't want it happen on Alyssa's big day. Somethings never changes a thought occurred to me.

The priest asked for us to stand at our places. Beside me I saw most stunning bride I have ever seen . Alyssa black hair were spread over her long sleeved lacy gown and long veil fitting her fit physique she blue eyes shined when she saw Noah on the stage.

Noah smiled and looked at her without blinking. Then I saw Alarick dressed in black suit and white shirt wearing his watch , his well done hair and his lean body went to her sister to escort her. Alyssa put her hands around Alarick and they both starting moving towards  Noah on the stage. The floor girls made their way with rose petals towards the stage.

For that moment music started playing at the background and nobody abrupted it. Mrs. Rodriguez and people around me started taking out their phones to click pictures.

Minister said ' You can now be seated' we sat on our respective places.

' Dearly beloved we are gathered here today to witness this man and this woman join together in holy matrimony.' Priest began I saw Alarick turning back she met my gaze and started staring at me then gazed forward. Emma saw what happened and started looking at my face and smirked . I stayed still without making any movements.

Noah parted lips and looked down on the floor.

' I take you Alyssa Marie Rodriguez as my lawfully wedded wife. When there has been cold , you have brought me warmth . Where there has been darkness you have brought me light. Our miracles starts with path we have chosen together. I enter this wedding knowing that true magic of love is not avoiding changes but walking hands in hands together.

Whatever lies ahead good or bad we will choose it together. Distance may test us for a time and time may try us but when we will look at each other we will see a friend for richer and poorer , better or worse , sickness and health , in joy and sorrow and faithfully committing myself into this.'

Alyssa moved forward and kissed Noah on his cheeks. I was quite surprised what would be my reaction if a man I loved on my wedding day make such a romantic gesture of declaration of love as the vow. I was moved deeply.

Alyssa looked towards him he was still looking down.

' I take you Noah Steve Wilson to be my husband to have you and hold you from this day forward , for better, for worse , for richer , for poorer , in health and sickness, to love and to cherish till death do us apart. According to God's holy law this is my solemn vow.'

She stared at Noah and he smiled at her.

Priest nodded ' if anyone objects to the marriage speak now or forever in peace.'

' As power of the state , I declare Alyssa Marie Rodriguez as wife of Noah Steve Wilson. Now you may kiss the bride.'

Noah leaned forward crossing the distance between him and Alyssa he kissed her gently.

' Are you fine? Mrs. Wilson.' He spoke romantically.

' Yes. Dear Husband. ' She hugged him wrapping her hands around him. Then the cheers uproared from behind. Both Andrew and Jasper were screaming form top of their lungs.

Then I caught sight of Alarick again seeing his eyes it was crystal clear it was more he wanted to say.  Something he wanted now he was waiting for this to get over fast.

I made up my mind that I would just attending wedding meet Alyssa and Noah congratulate them and get straight back to my house without wasting a single minute here.

Alarick's presence was already to uncomfortable to me whenever he gazed below his thick eyelashes towards me I felt mushy inside me once he turn around to look at my way during ceremony my breathe hitched sending me whirling emotions inside. I'll meet Noah and leave with good note.
