Emma's POV

As I get attached to Andrew my own insecurities started hem-in as I explored myself beyond my career I started embracing my feminity. First time I started being okay with being fragile , tender and agreed to tame my wild spirit for a man because that man was worth it. First time I thought he was worth it and I couldn't provide him warm home as he gets home from office.

Deep down I knew I felt in love with him again and again and then again and that itself resisted me to seeing him hurt because of me. I broke up with him using my rational mind , analyzing each thought , emphasizing on that fact
all my intense emotions could ruin whatever beautiful we have today in the future.

I did sobbed a bit although I made a pact never cry for a man. I did. Being vulnerable is most hardest part for creature known as human. I walked towards the local cafe where Sophie and I generally meet . Where the most bewitching winsome couple I know reunited. Sophie and Alarick.

As I am terrified of trying a new place to eat I am sure I will end up dying in this cafe because there is no handsome man sitting on one of chair seeing and passing smile to me.

I ordered coffee latte and it was cloudy and drizzled.Exactly maybe a year ago they both met in this cafe. How many love story from local town this local cafe has witnessed ? How many heartbroken people who is heartbroken who broke a heart sitting and slurped the coffee here ? Cheers to all of them I raised my glass of coffee latte. Although there was no one sitting in front of me.

There are almost fifteen days left for my holidays then I will be deployed to some other people in between strangers in harsh conditions wearing uniform with pride but currently being around these strangers is oddly comfortable because they belong to town I grew up in.

Then I saw Alyssa and Noah sitting inside right parallel to me. Not strangers I raised my hands and wave at Noah who waved back catching glimpse of me. He muttered something to Alyssa and she turned back and gestured me to come and sit with them.

I gathered my purse and sat in with Noah as I was aware of Alyssa's amiable nature still she can be darling sometimes. I mean sometimes.

' You know Noah is lactose intolerant.' She remarked I saw her long fingers and manicured hands and I could never get how those nails function for day to day activities.

' I never knew.' I stared at him in amusement I know him since childhood but this was still news to me.

' Yeah. He is. Besides I love coffee they make. Don't you think Emma ?' She was being so cordial that itself was quite indigestive to me while I stood statuesque and quite at my position because of some other reasons.

' Ye---ah.' I stuttered and I started figdeting with the keys kept in my pockets unconsciously my body drifted towards left and Alyssa must have assumed that is because of her but it wasn't.

I was done with finishing my coffee latte after that Noah and Alyssa got up and started to leave.

' Alyssa. Can you allow Noah to walk me down the street as I am not having a great day I need someone for consoling.' I made a plea towards her and most unusual thing was she did agree.

' Yeah. He will. Make sure she reaches home safely.' I nodded towards her Noah got out and I followed him behind.

' Is it about Andrew. He told me what happened. I believe that he was right taking time and figuring things out.' He shed some light towards the thing that was not the only thing hollowing me from inside.

' Yeah. I believe so. We are on quite different page right now. I no longer live on this street , Noah. Follow me.' I walked forward in crossing lanes and at a silently hushed place of the town because not many people reside here anymore.

I showed him the stairs. He turned around and started to go I flighted towards the stairs.

As soon as he turned around to walk away I descended I grappled him from behind he tried attacking me from behind although he was quite sturdy man but I was quite trained for him. As he turned around to face me I punched hard on his stomach that made him loose his equilibrium. Then I clenched his hair in fist and punched him hard on face repeatedly in extermis but enough to quench answers my questions.

' Why did you do that to her ? She wholeheartedly thought you as a friend.' A tear rolled down my cheek remember her truth her innocence.

' I don't understand. ' I punched harder.

' Listen Noah I can literally kill you now and I will be less guilty of killing a rapist . Just answer my question.'I grabbed him by his collar while he was on his legs sitting on the ground I sat down and ferociously gazed at him.

' Where is Sophie ?' I inquired while he was struggling to gasp the air. I punched one more time he gazed down I grabbed his neck and forced him to look upwards.

' I seriously don't know but I know that Alarick... Alarick won't ever leave Sophie from his cage.' I smirked but punched one more time.

' If you are a smart person I know you aren't tell me where is Sophie.' He coughed and stared blankly at me.

' I don't know. James's family lives in this town ask then where is James they then you will be able to find Sophie.' I threw him on the ground and walked on his hand with my heeled shoes on that dug his skin. There was crackling voice I heard below it I applied more pressure.

Then the things made sense to me let the mystery unravel.

I had a flashback of the local cafe when Noah was sitting next to me I saw deep scar which seemed to be recent one on his neck and covering little below as Sophie mentioned all of sudden Sophie's bewildered face at her farewell face came in front of me. I cried out loud way towards my home which was at two lane we left behind.
