Chapter 16 [Nots So Great Reunion]

Azura glared at my wording choice before pulling me into a tighter hug. "You know damn well that it wasn't your fault that I died infinity and I go as far to say it was my own. I knew they were coming after you and I didn't want you getting hurt. Besides your mother she- shit" I growled at the mention of my mother.

"Azura what do you mean my mother, wait?" It took me a moment to put the pieces together. Are you implying that my mother was in on your your death? You're telling me that she planned this all of this all," I could feel myself beginning to tear up. "All of those sleepless nights of me simply crying myself to sleep and you're telling me that she was in on this! It's like anything I want or love she wants to take away for me! I shouted.

"Darling, darling, calm down you know what happened last time you got out of control," she hugged my waist, "please understand the reason I didn't tell you is because I didn't want you to....well. I didn't want the Dojo to end up like the.....the place." Immediately I could tell what she was referring to. There used to be in old Village where we would go to hang out one day when we stumbled upon the village we learned that not all humans are good. There were humans out there who hated magic and if we were to be caught we could possibly have been killed.

One day the villagers found Azura and attempted to, well off her or even worse burn her alive. Of course I was not going to allow this, I have tried to peacefully break up with current events that were unfolding. But would only get hit or knocked back in return. Sooner or later I wasn't going to be able to keep taking hits. I wasn't worried at first but seeing Azura in a state of fear and bloodied made something clicked in me. Next thing I know I blacked out I immediately. We my conscious came back to me a weird Rabbit beast asked me a series of questions. At first I didn't realize what the questions were referring to until I had finally turned around.

The village, once a place I once considered a home dead. There were fires that spread across the small wooden houses to fence, animals panicking, rushing to get their children to safety. If trees that were catching on fire weren't the issue it was the claw marks and multiple craters sit in the ground. As I look around I noticed the village's all the dead children and women but there was one scent of blood that was strong enough to catch my attention. I quickly ran to a pile of rubble and continue to dig up what remains underneath and to my horror it was ZuZu course she was alive but unconscious.

It made me realize something much more important. In this world I was the biggest threat. In this situation It wasn't their fault that Azura got hurt but my own, in fact Azura probably would have emerged from this village scarless if it wasn't for me.

"ZuZu, can I ask you something?" Azura was most likely confused but nodded in retaliation.

"What's the point?" At first she didn't seem to get my question but after a few seconds her eyes widen, most likely meaning she understood what I was asking for.

"Well doll I can't answer that question for you this is some thing for you to decide. But I can't say this, your friends didn't live through all of the bullshit they had to take in just for you to give up now." I looked at her but before I could respond the colorful trees seem to be dimming themselves.

"Azura what's going on?" Azura happy posture seemed to fade coming yet cam back as she smiled.

"It seems as if our time together is ending a little bit earlier than I wished." I looked at her confused. "Your friend, the rabbit, she seems to be a little concerned about you or should I say really concerned about you. She might be trying to wake you up." She follows with a sigh.

"Wait just how many hours I've been asleep." Azura shrugged. "Azura I swear if I wake up in a goddamn casket or some bullshit like that I'm going to kill you." ZuZu's face turned to shock but she quickly she rolled her eyes.
