Chapter 28 [My Choices]

I looked at Vixen with slight distress gleaming from my face, though she clearly didn't notice since she was too busy paying attention to reaching the door in time. "Yes?"

"Ma'am we have several guests who wish to speak with you." (That voice I know it from somewhere.)

"Huh?" I quickly jumped up and looked towards my girlfriend.

"Who could possibly want to talk with me this late?" I simply shrugged at my girlfriend and curdled back into our bed sheet. (And yes I mean our's because bitch she chose to date me and rule number one of the relationship's conduct states: 'what's mine is mine, what's yours is mines. Except when it comes to my shit' and no~ I totally did not just make up that up.) As Vixen peeked her head through the door I could see relief pass throughout her whole body. I quietly giggled at the shorter girl and smile. (She's always so on guard, even at her own palace. It's actually kind of cute.) While the two were talking about whatever, I didn't know because I was starting to doze off until I heard my name come up in a conversation. I started paying attention again just to hear another conversation start.

"Do you think we should-?" Vixen quickly cut her off and changed the subject yet again.

"We shouldn't dwell on that right now. We have more important things to focus on, like how we are currently dealing with Rex and his braindead friends." I could hear venom lace throughout her voice but it didn't really bother me, I despised Rex after the shit he pulled with us last time.

"Seraphine let me get your staff." I noticed the pink haired girl from earlier, only because she poked her head out of the door to see who I was talking to the pink haired girl from earlier and to my surprise the Vampire didn't seem the slightest bit of upset or worried, she seemed pretty calm. "Wait i've almost forgot to introduce you two." Vixen moved aside so Seraphine could come in. Seraphine looked at me with a widen smile.

"Oh there's no need to, we've~ already met." Vixen seemed confused and continued looking back-and-forth from me to Seraphine.

"You two met already?" I giggled at her reaction but continued.

"Yes remember how Valentine said she wanted to introduce me to the city of Tavalt's people?" Vixen nodded and stayed silent. "Well you see Seraphine and a friend of hers were assigned to watch over both me and Valentine. Speaking of which there are a few things I'd like to talk to you about the guards." Seraphine seemed slightly scared when I brought up the Knights but I quickly reassured her. "All positive things! I just think you guys are being overworked." Seraphine quickly denied my claim.

"Well it is our job we have no other choice." I frowned upon hearing her deny my protective claims but let her continue. "I have no issue with being overworked a am a humble member of the Knights Of Tavalt, it's my job, my purpose. It's not like I enjoy being used like a lower ranked pet but its not really a choice is it.

"But doesn't that get tiring?" (I understood where she was coming from as a Omega we are only supposed to be servants to the higher rankings. It's not everyday you see a Omega who hasn't already been claimed. It's really sad most of us aren't even given a chance to enjoy a childhood because our rankings get in the way. I think it's stupid but then again who would care about what a lowly Omega has to think, I mean in the end I'm just a tool for amusement.) "I think each of you should at least get a 15 to 30 minute break?" Seraphine simply shook her head. "But Darling you're overwhelming yourselves. Don't you think you should try to take a break?" I gazed pitifully at Seraphine trying not to me say anything to harsh.

"Well darling I am in the lower ranks, not to mention I've done some...questionable things to put myself into this position." I wanted the older girl sigh and lean against the wall next to her.
