Chapter 20 [Choices]

I looked at Alex with a smile, even if it did only earn a glare it was still good to see she's okay but something seems to be off there was a small tone of worry in her glare. That was never like Alex, she always shows a carefree giving attitude. (Maybe she is sad? I'll give her a hug! But first I should check on Hopps.) I lightly peaked out of the corner of my eyes to see the Witch gently running her gloved hands over Hopps black and (f/c) fur while reading a book, most likely hoping it would pass time by more quickly. It was good to see that she was at least trying to help but that won't make me put faith nor any trust in her or anyone in this forsaken council.

A small tear made it's way down but I quickly make sure to get rid of it hoping that Alex didn't notice. While Alex was assigning seats also what I assumed was their next missions, along with other important information. As she was finishing up and getting ready to leave I walked behind her pulling her into a hug slightly nuzzling her, not noticing the few stares we were getting in return.

"H-Hey get off of m-me!" She pushed me off which sadden me, my ears and tail droop a little. As she was going everyone started to put their attention back to where it was before but what surprised me was when I felt a small pat on my head. I smile noticing Alex was gently running her fingers through my hair even if it was a small gesture it still really made me feel a lot better about being here. Quickly while everyone's not looking I pull her into another hug but let go very quickly to make sure no one would see. "O-Okay, Okay you can stop with the affection we're in a meeting," Alex whispers quickly stopping her movements, I didn't know why she was so afraid of us being noticed.

She left my side in quite a hurry which was a little upsetting to watch. On the other hand it was quite stupid of me not to notice why, the headmistress had called her over. I should have of expected that to happen. Even if Alex doesn't like to be around me it was still nice of her to try to comfort me, I know how she is normally. (It's odd, normally her touch isn't as soothing or gentle it's more rough or painful in so ways but this time it made me happy? No I shouldn't get so attached besides what happened to Hopps earlier. I can't let that happen again. No. I won't let it happen again! The real thing I should be focusing on is how the hell I wasn't able to do anything. I was worthless there! While Hopps was trying to protect me I was standing there stuck to a wall of fire while she was literally getting killed! What if that was an actual fight? What would I have done? Not only would she have been dead but I would've been dead as well. I'm so useless I-...)

"(Y/n)~" I heard the succubus chirp. Immediately my full attention goes towards her, making sure not to make eye contact in the process. "Dear, come here if you would please. We wouldn't want me to have to force you, now would we?" She smiles. I instantly shake my head as a response but it seems as if physical responses weren't good enough.

"N-No ma'am, I'm...s-sorry. I won't let it happen again." I can tell her smile is increasing.

"Good," she ran her fingers through my (f/c) hair. "Your behavior solves a few of our problems at hand. Now more importantly we need to find out where you're going to be sitting. Alex normally stands by Azula's side, knowing you you're probably just going to sit on the floor if we make you stand that long. Hmmm, normally we would always have one open chair but it has just been filled by our dear Akali." Her eyes trail to Vixen who currently was talking to Akali. "Follow me pet," (You know, normally I take that a lot more offensively than usual, in this case I'm trying not to get abused by a woman who's literally wearing a bikini.)

"Vixen do you mind if we talk to you, for a second that is." The Vampire stared in silence. "Well I was hoping that you wouldn't mind if (y/n) over here sit in your chair with you for the meeting. Vixen only stared at me with a little bit of anger radiating off her eyes, I couldn't tell if it was towards me but it was still scaring me. She only rolled her eyes and nodded in a upward motion. "Great then it seems as if we've solved that." I didn't respond to either of them which seem to put me on thin ice once again. "Dear what have we talked about earlier?" She mumbles.
