"He's coming back." My heart stops as the words mouth. Time slows and I become dizzy. Everything goes black.

I got up after a few minutes and went over to my desk to draw more of her in my sketchbook. This is a regular day for me. I wake up around 4 or 5 from this dream and draw this mysterious girl of, literally, my dreams. Afterwards I go out for a run. I run and run and run to the town sign.I live in the small town of Bloomington, Indiana. Everyone knows everyone type of town.
Typical town of emo, goth, punk, preppy, etc. kids. We all belong to a group. Some , like me, are
lucky enough to get into a popular crowd for a while, but then they start to learn about you, they
Learn what you do. Then they tear you down. Some survive and can still hang around the
popular crew, others not so much. They become outcast or put into their own group. I was
fortunate enough to be the boyfriend of the most popular girl in school. Her name is Aubrey. She
is the typical blonde that thinks she's better than everyone else. I have no idea what she sees in
me. She has told me that it's the fact that I'm not one of those guys that's only trying to get into
her pants. She's honestly not my type, but I'm doing good by dating her. No one messes with me.
I have grown accustomed to her though. As I near the cemetery and run all the way to my mother's grave. She died a year ago from
cancer. It ate away her insides. I remember the day they told us she had a limited amount of days
to live. The IV scanner lit up like a Christmas tree on steroids. My mother told me not to worry.
She said everything would be ok. I believed her, and then she dies on May 20th. On my birthday.
I despise every birthday I have now.I pay my respects and run back to the place I call home. My dad left me around the time my mom died so the only person I have is Jess. She has been taking care of me since that time. She's
also the librarian"How was sleep pumpkin?" Marigan was making eggs when I walked into the kitchen. She is wearing a white v-neck with a beige sweater, dark blue jeans, and black flats. She is a ginger with gray-blue eyes. Her french tipped nails are glossed over with clear nail polish. The room smelled of sweet vanilla chai ice tea. These sweat smell was counteracted by the juicy aroma of bacon.
"Like teasing a dog with a bone." I move to get a plate of eggs and bacon with the glass of
chai that Marigan had just poured for me."Did you get any?" She gave an exasperated look.
"No use trying by now." She comes over to ruffle my hair. I give her a smile in spite myself.
"As long as I make it through the day without falling asleep in any class." I gobble down the eggs and bacon without tasting it.
"Junior year is important. This is where colleges start asking for resumés. You can't let go just yet. Not if you wanna go to Harvard or New York University." Marigan gives me her serious face and points a finger my way. "I don't want you going to any of these community colleges. They are the worst kind Jace."
"I know. I know. I won't Marigan. I have good enough grades that if I went up to a job they'd practically hire me on the spot." I joke around making her a little calmer. "Trust me Marigan, I have this college thing in the bag."
"I hope you're right." she kisses my check and allows me to leave to school.
I hop into my car. My mother bought it for me for my 15th birthday. I slide in starting the ignition slowly but surely. I drive my way to school. It's gray and rainy out today making the roads slick. I am the only person in this town, other than Aubrey, who has a fancy car. I have a dark blue mustang. She has a blue covet; though, her's is a lighter blue. I am late again, but since my teachers love me; for always completing homework and being the only smart kid in all my classes, I'll have a pass.
"Mr. Alexander. Nice of you to join us. Please sit." Ms. Claire holds her hand out in the direction of my seat.
"Thank you Ms. Claire. How was your evening? Oh and nice sweater." If there is one thing I know, it's that sucking up to teachers gets you through tough situations.
"Why thank you Jace it was nice and do you really think so?" She holds the ends of the sweater and examines herself.
"Oh yes. Very stylish." I flash a dazzling smile. She blushes and continues with the lessons.
My day goes by in a blur. That is until lunch.
"Jacey-poo" A voice sings behind me.
"Yes Aubrey and please don't call me that will ya?" I keep my tone level to not give way to any annoyance.
"Ok. I was think maybe we could hang out tonight at my place." She walks her fingers up my arm.
"Why? What's going on at your place that's so important." I know what she wants but I refuse to take something so valuable.
"Nothing, just you and me and maybe later..." She runs her hand down my leg but I close my legs to signal to her no. "Awh come on Jace. What's so bad about it?"
"I think you should wait before you rush into something so serious." I advise her.
"You didn't." She pleads.
"That doesn't mean you shouldn't. Look I said no and that's the end of it." I end it then and there.
"Fine." Aubrey storms off; giving up.
The rest of the day is uneventful. I do my natural routine when I get home. Chores, snacks, homework, video games. After dinner and a shower I head off to bed for the night. I fall into sleep with the same dream again.
