"What do you want from us?" Wylie demanded.

"Jeez, why do you look so intimidated?" Percy wondered.

Annabeth nudged him. "Showing off your sword isn't the best way to say hello, seaweed brain."

"I wasn't showing off!" Percy insisted but he lifted up a tiny thing that looked like a pen cap and when it touched the tip of his sword, it turned into a pen. "Better?"

No one said anything. Lynn made the water wall disappear.

"Would you guys like to come in?" Annabeth asked.

"Where?" Keefe asked.

She frowned. "You can't see it?"

"See what?"

Annabeth turned to Percy. "I'll get Chiron, you can do the explaining."

Percy nodded and once the girl had sprinted off, he said, "Okay, let's get straight to the point. You're not humans."

"We know", Dex replied.

"You do?" Percy looked confused. "You know that you are demigods?"

"Excuse me?" Tam said.

"You guys are the offspring of a mortal and either a Greek or a Roman god."

"Is that what you are?" Sophie asked.

"Yeah. I'm a son of Poseidon, god of the sea, so I have water powers and stuff. Judging from the water wall you made your must  be a child of Poseidon too", he looked at Linh.

"No, I'm not!" Linh protested.

"Then how do you explain your control over the water?"

"I-I'm-"

She looked at Sophie with a confused expression and Keefe realized why. They couldn't just tell a human- or whatever demi thing Percy was- about the lost cities.

"I think we should tell him", Sophie decided. She turned toward Percy. "You say you're not a human?"

"Yep. I'm a demigod. Half human, half god. Makes my life impossible. In fact, after everything I've been through, I'm not even supposed to be alive, but here I am!"

"Well, we're not humans either. Not even half", Marella said a little proudly.

"Okay then, what are you? Dwarves? Or maybe trolls?", Percy asked. The twitch in the corner his mouth suggested that it was a joke.

"Nah, Sophie's dwarven and  trollish bodyguards are on vacation", Keefe jumped in. "We are elves."

Percy looked at us like Keefe had said they were sasquatches. "You're what?"

"Elves", Keefe repeated. "Elves are real but not the elves you would imagine. Human stories are never right. Us elves live in the lost cities and we have awesome powers. Well, most of us. Just ask the Mysterious Miss F over here", he nudged Sophie. "Sophie can read your mind, inflict pain or happiness, teleport, enhance one's power and speak in every language that existed."

"Not sure what most of those words mean, but they sound cool", Percy said.

"They are", Fitz agreed.

"You said you are the son of a sea god", Dex noted. "What can you do?"

"This", Percy waved his hands around and a fist-size ball of water splashed in Tam's face. "Oops."

Keefe snorted.

"C'mon, can you lot at least pretend to be awed?"

A large wave of water splashed over him.

"You're not the only one with water powers", Linh said.

"Got it", Percy said, who was now dripping wet.  "Do all of you have different powers?"

"Yeah. I'm a hydrokinetic and-"

"You make me look bad, I noticed", he gestured to himself.

Before anyone else could say anything, a funny man who had a horse body from the waist down appeared along with Annabeth.

"Guys", Percy said. "Meet Chiron."
