"What happened?" The boy asked.
"It was Octavian", The girl with the cloak answered.
"Him again?"
"I know. But it seems to have backfired somehow", Another boy in a cloak said.
What were they talking about? Who was Octavian?
And most of all, who are they?
"Keefe?" The curly- haired girl said, coming toward Keefe's bed. "How do you feel?"
Keefe stared at her for a while, the girl looked familiar and at the same time, she was a stranger.
"Keefe?" He asked.
"Yeah".
"What's Keefe?"
The girl frowned first then her eyes widened. Keefe felt a mixture of something like shock and horror and fear coming from her."Oh no, no, no, no, no. Keefe? Sophie? Elf? Fitz? Demigods?"
"Are those even words?"
"Frank!" The girl called the other boy in the cloack.
"Is there a problem Hazel?"
"I... I think... He has lost his memories".
Frank's expression and feelings matched Hazel's. "Juno's doing?"
"No. I think it's because of Octavian. He, Keefe and Sophie were also touched by the light. The one that took Apollo away".
"So why are they still here? Not that I'm complaining".
"Because they were only touched by the light. Apollo was engulfed by it".
"This is so, so bad".
Hazel shook her head.
Keefe felt more worrying vibes. "Uh, excuse me?" He said. "Can you please tell me what's going on?"
"Listen carefully" Hazel said. "Your name is Keefe. You're an elf from the lost Cities".
"Elf? Are you guys elves too?"
"No", Frank said. "We are demigods".
"What are demigods?"
Hazel and Frank exchanged a look. "I promise to fill you in on everything" Hazel said. "But for now, just remember that you have lost all your memories".
"My memories?"
"You don't remember anything about your past, do you?"
"Not really".
"What's this about losing memories?" The other boy in the room asked.
"Exactly what it sounds like, Kai", Frank said. "He doesn't remember a thing".
"So that means-"
"Yeah", Hazel said. "Sophie has also lost her memories".
Frank swallowed. "And so has Octavian".
