Elves and Demigods

Chapter 7 - Sophie

"What's camp Jupiter?" Sophie asked.

They were in a white cabin where they had found earlier. There was a large statue of a god - Zeus, Sophie guessed that was kinda creepy. It seemed to look straight at her and say, Die puny elves!

Sophie didn't sleep much last night. They had gone back to the Lost cities and met up again in the morning, using the pretty crystal that led to camp Half-blood. She had told Grady and Edaline that they had just been coming up with ideas to defeat the Neverseen and instructed her friends to do the same. She didn't like lying to them, but decided to keep their little quest a secret for a while. Now, they were in the Zeus cabin and were about to leave to this place called camp Jupiter.

"Camp Jupiter is the home of Roman demigods", Piper explained. "Like Jason."

"I thought you were a son of Zeus", Sophie said.

"I'm a son of Jupiter, which is just Zeus' Roman form", Jason said.

"Roman and Greek. Are there any kinds of demigods?" Fitz asked.

"Well, there are Norse demigods", Annabeth says. "And even the Egyptian gods are real, though they don't have any demigod children. I and Percy have friends - Carter and Sadie Kane - who deal with them."

"Huh", Tam said.

There was nothing to add.

"How will we get there?" Dex asked.

Percy and Annabeth exchanged a look.

"How will we get there?" Percy asked Annabeth.

"I have already arranged for that", Chiron jumped in.

"You have?" Nico asked. "How?"

Chiron smiled. "You will travel with some Godly help."

"What?" Annabeth exclaimed.

"Hermes?" Percy guessed. "Or maybe Artemis?"

"Apollo", Chiron answered.

"Oooooooohhh", Piper said.

"Who's Apollo?" Sophie asked.

"My dad", Will explained. "God of Archery, the sun, music, poetry-"

"And haikus that make your ears bleed", Percy said. He looked at Will and added, "No offence."

"None taken."

"He was punished by his father, Zeus, recently. This was the third time, actually. He was made mortal and he had to complete a set of trials to become a god again. But his experience made him humble and now he's helping demigods any time he can", Annabeth said.

Yes, this happens after the Trials of Apollo. Only difference is that Jason lives.

Sophie was struggling to contain all this information.

"Don't we need a prophecy?" Jason asked.

"This problem is beyond the Olympians. Even an oracle won't be able to predict the future this time", Chiron said.

Just then, there was blinding light, so bright that Sophie couldn't see anything. Then everything went dark.
