Hazel and Kai were whispering to each other.

"Uh, hello?" Octavian said in an irritated tone. "Can you tell me what's going on here?"

"You've been called". The way Kai said it, it sounded like he was taking Octavian to his execution.

Octavian felt fear spark inside him. "F-for what? Where are you taking me?" He tried getting off the wheelchair, but his body hurt too much and he nearly fell off trying.

"Careful", Kai said, steadying him. "You haven't healed yet".

"We are taking you to a meeting", Hazel said.

They reached a structure that was called the Senate House which sounded familiar to Octavian for some reason.

Inside, there were long, curved tables and a table in front of them. It looked like a place where important meetings would be held. The place was full with people in purple T-shirts and togas and armor. Behind the table was a boy with a long, red cloak. Upon their arrival, the room, which was full of hushed talking, fell absolutely silent. Kai pushed the wheelchair forward, letting it rest right behind the table behind which the boy with the cloak stood.

Octavian noticed that people were glaring at him like he had just murdered their stuffed animals.

Hazel joined the boy in the cloak.

"Senators", the boy said. "We have gathered her to discuss the fate of Octavian, enemy of Rome".

Octavian gasped. Rome? Him, an enemy? He didn't remember his past life but the words sacred him beyond reason. He didn't want to be anyone's enemy. "I-I don't know what your t-talking about", he stuttered.

The boy glared at him.

"What does he mean, Praetor Frank?" One boy asked.

"Octavian has lost his memories".

Angry mutters followed. Frank proceeded to continue. He recited whatever happened before Octavian's amnesia. Apparently, Octavian wanted to meet his father, the Roman god Apollo. When Apollo arrived, Octavian did something and made the god disappear. Sophie, Keefe and Octavian were too close to the light that took Apollo, and they ended up with memory loss. That wasn't the only thing, though. For his sake, Frank explained more on Octavian's life. He was an Augur at Camp Jupiter who led the legion to war against the Greek camp for power and a shame to his father. In the war, he ended up blowing himself up. Somehow, he came back but had the same evil intentions. When he made Apollo disappear, the guards around Octavian attacked him, but the praetors had him healed as he would hold valuable information on what happened to Apollo. Unfortunately, he woke with amnesia. The more words spewed from Frank's mouth, the more dread spread through Octavian.

He was a bad person. Everyone hated him. He had murdered many.

Octavian pressed his hands against his ears. "Stop", he begged. "Please, I can't hear this anymore".

"It's about you", Frank said bitterly, but he didn't say any more.

"And now", Hazel said. "We decide what to do with him". The way she said it, it sounded like she was asking now, how do we dispose of this garbage? Octavian felt worse than he already did.

"Banish him", a boy said. Fear and dread swirled in Octavian at the words.

"Keep in mind", Frank said. "That Octavian may, just may be a changed person. At that, he nodded hard.

"I'm with Mike", a girl said. "He doesn't deserve to be a legionnaire".

"We could give him another chance", Someone else said. "Banish him if he does anything suspicious".

"That's too dangerous. He will cause another war if he stays here".

"Throwing him out may be dangerous too".

"He's right. We should let him try again. Maybe he is different".

"Do you really think someone like him is capable of change?"

"He doesn't have his memories!"

On and on it went. Some statement gave Octavian a little relief and the rest sent his stomach plunging. He had never felt this scared, memories or not. He wanted to run away from these people, but was afraid of what banishment would bring.

Hazel and Frank shushed everyone.

"We have come to a decision", Hazel said. "Octavian will stay at camp. He will be given a second chance. Without him remembering anything, he may infact be a better person. Any objections?"

A girl spoke up, "What if he gets his memories back?"

Frank looked directly at Octavian. "In that case, he will be executed, soon after we get information on Apollo out of him".
