As they waited in the lift, both T'sha and Rachel bounced around excitedly. Spock watched his daughters with a small smirk pulling at the corners of his mouth.
From where she was standing, Micheal also smiled.  "The future of Starfleet looks bright," she commented as the lift moved towards it's destination.
"You really think so?" Rachel asked, her eyes become big with excitement and wonder.
Micheal nodded. "Most definitely," she said, turning to face her nieces. "You two are two of the brightest minds that I know."

"You're our Aunt," T'sha said. " you have to say that ."

Micheal raised her left eyebrow. "Just because we're related doesn't make what I said any less true," she said. "Starfleet is going to do wonders for the two of you. You two are extraordinary. You're brilliant. Resilient.  But most of all, you have minds that are ravenous for exploration. To make new discoveries. To seek out new life forms .''

Micheal took a breath, walking over to the two young women that were standing in the back of the lift, finally having calmed down. Her expression became soft. "Why do you think other wise?"

"I often feel like I'm not extraordinary," T'sha admitted. Micheal could feel the pain behind her niece's words.  Looking over at Spock, who looked at the ground, she turned her attention back to her niece.
"T'sha," she began with as much comfort in her voice as she could muster," You are brilliant . Never doubt that. You are allowed to feel bad sometime, but never forget how much you've overcame already."
