"It has not been lost on me how much you come out of your 'shell' when you are with Lokai," Spock said as he and T'sha walked to their quarters. Giving her a sly smile, Spock watched her as he spoke about the young boy with whom she had been spending so much time with. T'sha smiled brightly , looking at the deck plating . Confirming her father's words. "He is .. different.. He does not judge me, " she said sweetly. " I am simply T'sha. No expectations. No one wanting me to be something that I am not. I am just .. Me."
Spock nodded, "So I have noticed. With others, you are more reserved when you first meet them. A trait that you happen to get from myself. Your mother was not as reserved as I am. She was.. More out going. " He stopped in his tracks. "Perhaps this boy can help you more than I can."
T'sha stopped. She looked up at her father, taking his hands in her own just like he had when they were in Sick Bay not that long ago.
"You doubt your abilities to be my father?"
Spock let out a sigh, bending down so that he was infront of her. " There are times when I do, in fact, question my abilities to guide you both during this journey through your teenage years," he admitted. "My own were not the best. And I do not wish what happened to me to happen to you and your sister. "
"Then that wish has made you a better father because you strive to raise us the best that you can. You are only one person. But you have done the best that you could. We are safe. We are cared for. You attend to our every need. You are the best father that we could ask for. In your own way, you love us. "
Spock listened as his child spoke. His human side felt pride and emotions that could only described as love . The love that a Father felt his child. His Vulcan side could see the logic that she was presenting. He smirked and arched an eyebrow. " Your logic is undienable ."
