Spock sat on the  edge of T'sha's bed, watching her. She had fallen asleep after crying for almost an hour. It made his heart ache watching her be like this. She had always been different. Her mother often calling her "their little ray of Sunshine."
But, ever since her death, he had noticed a change in his daughter's demeanor. She was more with drawn. Quieter. She did not smile as much and often had severe mood swings.
It was getting to the point where he was setting up counseling sessions for her and Rachel, only to have her be ridiculed by the person who was supposed to listening to her and help her deal with the grief that she was going through.
After he sat in on one of her sessions with her therapist, Spock pulled her out of her session and demanded that she was given a new counselor. One who actually listened to her. So far, the new counselor was actually helping her. Spock had noticed a change right away after a session with the new counselor.
After each session, T'sha was calmer. Like she was able to get out what was eating at her.
Spock kept watching his daughter sleep as he grabbed her blanket and placed it around her. As he got up, he reached over to the light panel and dimmed the lights for her . Before he left the room, he took one last look at his slumbering child before heading into the living area. Rachel was sitting by his desk area, working on her homework on the PADD that was infront of her.
"How is she?" She asked her father as he walked over to the replicator. He was preparing dinner for the three of them. Spock looked up from what he was doing and he looked at his youngest. "She is resting," he said. " I will have to make another appointment for her with her counselor," he said as he looked down. "I do not know how to help her."
"What do you mean?"
Spock sighed. "I do not know how to help her or you with what you must be feeling," he said. "I cannot even.."
Rachel got up and she walked over to her Father. She put her hand on top of his. "We are a family," she said. "Mother always said that a family looks out for each other."
"Your Mother was a very wise woman," Spock said. He gripped Rachel's hand tightly. "I will admit that I miss her," he told her. "I know that it is illogical for me to say that but it is true. She was and always be my, as the Humans call it, soul mate."

Spock took a deep breath. "A part of my soul died when she did. And she was not able to pass her Katra to anyone else. So her knowledge is lost."
"Not all of it," Rachel said. "She did teach sister and I alot of the things that she knew."
