the clicking of heels echoed through the empty chambers, the lady wore a white sleeved shirt with a black puffed neckline, paired with high-waisted black shorts and a trailing veil. over this, a black and white coat featured a prominent spade mark on the back, the walls grimed adding a touch of her empowering presence.
the butlers and maids of the mansion trembled in their place; her emitting mana alone were enough for those close enough to kneel before her. the sharp sound of cracking mirrors filled the air as the ancient beast behind her made its formidable presence known, its power reverberating through the surroundings.
as the lady reached the throne room, flashbacks of her life flashing before her eyes right at this very room, right at this very mansion, at the four corners of this land.
she raises her trembling hand, eyes glum and filled with every reason to destroy.
in the blink of an eye, everything in front of the lady shattered, causing a massive hole to explode through the wall. the dragon's mouth billowed with smoke after unleashing a spell unseen by ordinary eyes, its power felt rather than seen as it loomed menacingly behind the lady.
as if in a trance, she raised her hand once more, as if preparing to cast a spell powerful enough to obliterate the entire mansion. the woman's eyes burned with rage and the fierce desire to annihilate everything in her sight, while the dragon readied itself to fulfill its master's will.
visions of her childhood flashed before her eyes, the pain and anguish she had endured in this very place fueling her drive to destroy. it was as though obliterating everything around her could somehow ease the torment and resolve her burning anger.
"y/n.. for the sake of our families, please die. we're better off with you gone." the memory of her last moment in this mansion flashes through her mind.
"better off gone? this place is better off gone from the map." the lady mumbles, just a second before her dragon blasts the place into smithereens, a hand stops her command.
"quite the destructive welcome you're coming back to." a familiar deep and cold tone whispers by the woman's ear, the familiar presence of the man she never wanted to cross paths with, haunts her again.
the ancient dragon reacts to its master getting attacked and readies itself to defend, before the lady could even respond, the dragon unleashed an attack as threatening as the one that blew off a hole in the wall of the massive throne room just moments ago.
bones protruded from the ground to shield the man, its formidable presence forming a defensive barrier around him. as the bones retracted, he looked down at the creature with a cold, calculating gaze. his tall, lean figure, marked by pale skin, and dark, sharp hair, remained untouched by the recent attack. despite the devastating attack that blew off thrones, not a single injury marred his immaculate figure.
the dragon growls in surprise, and the lady commands the beast to step down, releasing herself from the man's grasp.
"is it you who called me here? if so, why do you stop me from doing exactly what you know i will once i step a foot in this estate?" the woman responds with the same tone and uninterest.
"i bring a letter from the former head of L/N's." the man signaled a butler to come forward. as scared as he looked, the butler made his way to the two and handed over a letter.
"this is the last and final will of master L/N before he passed from a disease, they hope for lady Y/N to be married to the zogratis' and make the L/N's a proud family, for once." the butler spoke to the woman with no utter fear. "and i suggest you hold me from your pet dragon or lord zenon will teach that beast and yourself a lesson."
