𝗀𝖺𝗓𝗂𝗇𝗀 𝗎𝗉 𝖺𝖻𝗈𝗏𝖾, you have always wondered, 'is the moon lonely? or does the stars keep it company?'.

you've always told yourself to act like the moon. glowing beautifully alone even in the darkest night, though until now you can't seem to grasp your goal.

having a peaceful walk alone, accompanied by the cold breeze of the night, you took small steps and inhaled the crisp air. the atmosphere was calming and soothing.

you'd been having frequent nightmares lately, which were disturbingly intense, so you decided a walk might help clear your mind. you found an old tree trunk to sit on, staring at your grimoire. the once pure white spade mark on it was now marred with dark streaks, a reflection of how your dark thoughts and memories had tainted your soul.

as you exhaled, you noticed dawn was approaching. you stood up and began to head back to the mansion to prepare for the day.

it had been a week since the gathering, and fuegoleon had invited you to his base today. you didn't know why, but you didn't think much of it.

as you approached the mansion's gate, you saw william exiting. you paused, watching him get on his broom and fly away. it wasn't that you were avoiding him, but being around him while your mind was so troubled wouldn't be helpful. besides, he had company, so you weren't really needed.

fueggy?" the red-haired man turned around with a warm smile. "you made it." he stepped forward and gave you a friendly hug before patting your dragon gently.

"what's the matter? you seemed urgent in that letter..." you said, noting his casual shrug. "i wanted to tell you something."

"okay, speak." you responded, and he gestured for you to follow him outside. "join me for a walk?"

you nodded, and both of you left his office, heading towards what appeared to be the training grounds. your dragon growled softly to get your attention, and you looked down to see leopold training with another guy below.

"is that leo? he looks so mature already." you said with admiration, and fuegoleon beamed at your comment.

"i thought the same. he and his friends just returned from their training at heart kingdom, and i can tell they've all grown a lot." pride was evident on his face, and he didn't try to hide it. it was the truth, and he enjoyed sharing it with others.

"i can see that." you chuckled. "so, what is it that you wanted to talk about?"

fuegoleon swallowed hard before speaking. "i'm... engaged."

his wide grin made you laugh. "oh, was that so hard to say?" you continued laughing, enjoying the moment.

"well, i tried," he said, laughing along with you.

as the laughter died down, he asks, "not to immerse myself, can i ask? why won't you find a lover? you are in perfect age afterall." you blinked at his question.

you wanted to say, 'i already have, it's just that not everything you wish for comes into reality.'

"ah.. well, i guess i'm not ready for a relationship yet.. for me, it's a pain." you were trying not to stutter; this is the you now. though it sounds upsetting, even if it's not you causing his genuine smiles, it's much nicer seeing your beloved happy.

"if you say so, also.. would you like to meet her?" you smiled, trying to show the bestest one. "of course! it will be an honor." fuegoleon mirrors your smile, though his is pure glad.

fuegoleon explains the details, you've acted and faked your smiles, not to get it wrong, you are very happy for him. but the question he asked ticked something inside you, making your whole mood flip. you're not angry with him; he did nothing wrong. in fact, he's right. you're just being too emotional.
