I write poems in bed
as the night unfurls itself
I count syllables
Staring at my screen.
Weathered faces and exhausted eyes
everything seems wavy and distorted
Frustration, conflicts between words and analysis,
I look at somewhere on the horizon.
A shining comfort draped in its colors
oceanic blues
violet lilacs
Emotions transfigured into captivated focus,
as an artist enlightened by the strokes of paint.
A foggy horizon.
