Chapter 17

Mina POV

After breakfast, we head to carnival. Well, Dahyun was complaint about the carnival but totally agree when the other agree to go there. I just follow with the majority though. Now, we currently at the carnival and I stuck here with Jeongyeon. I sigh as Jeongyeon tries to win Tzuyu a giant octopus for the 50th time. He already spend 50 bucks on rings to throw on the glass bottles. I'm convinced the game is rigged, and Dahyun tried to convince Jeongyeon to try another booths. However, Tzuyu had specifically pointed out the one stuffed animal that the other booths doesn't have. I'm sure she did that just because she wanted to distract Jeongyeon while he dragged Chaeyoung off to hang out with her. Tzuyu says octopuses give her the creeps.

"This is taking forever! Come on Jihyo, let's get churros." Sana whines and takes off with Jihyo.

"Sana's right Jeongyeon. Let's just go." Dahyun sighs as Jeongyeon takes out another dollar for three more rings.

Oh God! Tzuyu just playing with him and he's too stupid to realise it. Out of frustration, I grab the three ring and toss them randomly towards the bottle. I grab Jeongyeon by the arm but Dahyun stop me.

"Mina. You won!" He said looking shocked.

I turn around and sure enough, single ring was around the neck of bottle. I turn back to Jeongyeon who looking frustrated.

"You can pick one for Tzuyu." I said to Jeongyeon.

He pouts, "nah, its not the same if you won it." He sulks and walk away.

"Hey, Jeongyeon." I call him after he turn around.

"She likes puppy better than octopuses anyway." I point to a darts booth with a giant, stuffed tabby hanging from it.

"Thanks." Jeongyeon replies and start run to the booths.

I sigh and examine my choices for a prize. I'm not sure what made me choose the octopus, possibly the fact that I was exhausted and didn't want to bother to pick another one. Or the fact that Tzuyu hates the octopus. Maybe I felt like the octopus, a pawn to help Tzuyu get closer to Chaeyoung. I take the octopus with me to buy a soft pretzel before sitting down on a bench. I sit alone, munching slowly thinking how did I ended alone with only stuffed octopus to keep me company? After finishing my pretzel, I bury my head into the octopus and start to drift asleep. I'm close to complete sleep when Jihyo shakes me awake.

"What are you doing, Mina? You should be having fun!" Sana said to me.

"Yeah, let's go on a roller coaster." Jihyo urges while she starts to tug on my shirt.

"I can't." I hold up the giant octopus in my arms.

"Isn't that what Jeongyeon was trying to win for Tzuyu?" Jihyo takes the octopus and examine it.

"Yeah. I accidentally won it. He changed his plans and I'm pretty sure he's trying to win a giant stuffed puppy right now." I said bored to them.

"Well, we're going to go to roller coaster now." Sana gets up with Jihyo and they walk away.

Then, someone snatched the octopus from my arms. Chaeyoung stands over me with his eyebrow knits together.

"Did Jeongyeon win this for you?" He said looking serious.

"No. I accidentally won it for myself." I said and his expression soften.

Then, he grabs my wrist and takes me towards the parking lot. He put the octopus on the car trunk and looking at me.

"How about we go somewhere that suits you better?" He said.

Without waiting for my response he drag me to somewhere still holding my wrist. I feel too shy to tell him to let go, or pull away myself. At least that's what I guessed was the reason why I didn't do anything about it. We stop in front o ice cream shop which is Chaeyoung finally lets go of my wrist. As we entered the shop, I can see the girl in the register being pink as Chaeyoung faces and smile to her. Well, basically every girl faces Chaeyoung will turned like that.
