Chapter 47

Mina POV

After the fight, everyone seem to notice me more than usual. Just this time I could see they give me some positive vibes. Everyone had seen the video of Chaeyoung punching JB and Jackson in the face and taking me to his car. I guess they thought we were back to normal but when Chaeyoung didn't talking to me every two minutes in class, they knew something was wrong. After break, we also had to changed seats in every class.

I know I should be following my resolution, but I couldn't help to wish and hope that I would get assigned to sit next to Chaeyoung. Each time, it only seem like we got further apart, except for biology. So, when I got the seat right beside him, everyone looked and observed, curious if he would finally talk to me. But, sad to said he didn't. Maybe I shouldn't be turning every five seconds to look at him. But, I can't help. Every glance makes me flutter but ache at the same time. I don't know I show call myself lucky or unlucky to having him next to me.

"So, for this biology project I want you guys to study any animal and their behaviour. Explain every characteristic they have and how that helps them adapt and survive in their habitat. Then, research threats to that species and predict who they will evolve in the future. Please don't do cats and dogs cause that's just lazing and boring." My biology walks to the front table and drops off a clipboard.

"I assigned you partners so come and take a look. I want you guys to decide on an animal by the end of the class and get started over the weekend." She added.

The whole class groans in unison, having already picked their partner by eye contact. However, this is brief as everyone rushed to the front in hopes if seeing their friends name next to their own. Chaeyoung and I stay rooted to our seats. I twiddle with my thumb while waiting for someone approach me. However, I secretly it won't be the case. Being that, I can't help to think my partner might still be sitting down, possibly the one next to me? I'm give in once the front table clears and no one went to talk to me yet. My feet heavily went to front and approach the clipboard, trying to keep an open mind but I can't seem to help but my mind keep thinking of someone.

Chaeyoung,. Chaeyoung.. Chaeyoung. Yeri. Shoot!

Don't get me wrong. Yeri is nice and all, but she never works. Plus, I have other reason.. Chaeyoung. When I turn around, I catch Chaeyoung looking towards the front of the class. But quickly directs his eyes to his desk and writing something in his notebook. Since no one sat next to him yet, I check the list again. Next to Chaeyoung, is Bang Chan who is currently absent. I look around for Yeri, not seeing her either. So, I went back to my seat. I have to options in my mind, sugar glider and penguin. Well, sugar glider much easier as I been researching them for sake of properly caring for Cuddle. And penguin is one of my favourite animal. So, that's why. But, I think I will go with sugar glider. Since, Yeri isn't going to do the work, I'm sure she won't mind if I choose the animal without consulting her.

"You guys are awfully quieting for partners that are supposed to be picking and animal." My biology teacher laughs tapping on our table.

"Oh, we're not partners. Mine's absent." I explain.

"Chaeyoung, where's your?" She said.

Chaeyoung just shrugs in reply. Something quite odd for someone usually very talkative.

"Well, since both of your partner absent, you guys should just partner up and get started. I will just partner the two together then." Satisfied with her decision, my teacher smiles and leaves us awkwardly staring at our desk.

I continue my list for about ten more minutes before I speak.

"Hmm, if we go with sugar glider okay?" I asked.
