Part 24.

It took a while to get everything packed up. The cords were a hassle. We didn't know which cord went with what so we untangled the cords and put them in a case.

After we put everything in the car, I dropped off Alex back at the apartment so she could meet up with the building manager to set up a payment plan when we're on tour. I went to my parent's house to tell them about the tour and Kevin coming with me.

I love my parents but I was more close with Kevin and told him everything. My parents were really encouraging when it came to our jobs. We had a compromise. Kevin and I would go to college and further our education and after graduation we could pursue any job we wanted. It turned out pretty well. I'm a popular international radio show host and Kevin is a partner/head creator and producer at a company he and his friend own.

I pull into the drive way and once I step out and shut the car door, I'm greeted by our dog, Bella.

"Hi sweetness! How are you!" I say.

Bella is a white and red orange husky. She is, of course, super energetic and so sweet.

"Come on, let's go inside huh?"

We walked up to the door and I used my key to open it.

"Knock knock! Anyone home?"

"Y/n?!" Mom said.

"Yes."

"In the kitchen!" She said.

I walk towards the kitchen to see my mom baking her delicious muffins.

"Hi mom." I say as I go to her with open arms.

"Hi baby. How are you?" She said as she hugged me.

"Great. I've got some news. Where's Dad?"

"In the garage working on his car."

I nod and sneak a muffin while she isn't looking.

"I saw that."

"I don't know what your talking about." I say as I head to the garage.

I open the door.

"Hey dad!"

"Hey!" He say as he sees me.

He sets his tool down and wipes his hand to properly hug me.

"What brings you by?"

"I have news for you and mom."

"Are you pregnant?"

"Dad! Oh my gosh! No!"

He laughs. "I'm just asking."

"Yeah sure. So come in the house so I can tell you both."

"Okay I'll be there in a sec."

I turn around and head back in the house.

I watch my mom take out another batch of muffins from the oven as I lean on the counter as I take another muffin.

Mid-bite, my dad walked into the kitchen. He washed his hands and gave my mom a kiss.

"So. What's the news." He said as he too leaned on the counter.

My mom stops what she's doing to give me her undivided attention.

I haven't exactly decided on how to tell them but here it goes.

"Um. You know how I interview artists and groups on my show?" I start out.

They nodded.

"Well, I recently interviewed a world renowned group and I guess they were impressed and they invited me to go on tour with them." I say as I raise my arms half way.

"Tour?" My mom asked.

I nod. "Yeah. I'll be gone for maybe half the year."

"Half the year?" My dad said.

"Yes and I've asked Kevin to come with me."

"Kevin?" They said.

I chuckle. "Oh my goodness. Are you just gonna repeat everything I say? Yes, Kevin is coming with me. He'll be gone half the year too. This is a great opportunity for me and the station as well as for Kevin. You don't have worry about me being alone. Alex is going to be there too, so is our control panelist, Mark. And the band are such great guys."

"If this is what you think is best for you and the station then great. We'll support you no matter what, Sweetie." My dad says as my mom smiles.

"Great because we're leaving tonight." I smile and brace myself.

"Y/F/N, tonight!" My mom says.

"How long have you known this?" My dad asks.

"Only two days.."

"Why so soon though?"

'Damn it.'

"I have to meet the CEO and head of security at the label and sign papers and have a meeting with them."

"Well when do you start traveling?" My mom asks

"They have two places left and a few scheduled performances so it's packed but officially the tour starts in May." I say

They nod.

"Well can we see you during this time? I mean half a year is a long time honey." My mom says.

"Well I don't know. You can probably come to a concert and see us backstage. The first stop is Rose Bowl so."

My mom packs up some muffins for me as she's listening to me.

"What was the band again?" My dad asks.

"BTS." I say.

I see my mom drop a muffin and look at me with wide eyes.

"What?" I ask

"N-nothing. It's just that I've heard of them. They're very good and very handsome." She says.

I can tell she isn't telling me something. I'll let it slide.

"Yeah they are. Very talented." I say as I try not to blush.

"Well is that all the news?"

'Should I tell them?"

"Uh yeah that's it. Besides, Kevin is going to meet me in two days so he'll stop by before he leaves."

"Well okay. Here. Don't eat all of them. Give some to Alex and save some for the flight." She says.

"No promises but I'll try." I smile.

My mom rolls her eyes and smiles at me.

"I got to go and get ready. Oh there's still some food left in our fridge, I was hoping you could take them?"

My dad looks at me like 'are you kidding me?"

"I'll stop by tomorrow." He says.

"Thank you! Okay I'm leaving. I love you and let me know when you guys want to go see us so I can get the tickets and passes together."

I go over and hug both of them for a long time.

It's going to be awhile since I'll be able to do this again and see them in person. Maybe this is how the guys feel every time they leave for tour or don't see their family for awhile.

I hope they see how Namjoon is so great when they visit.
