Amelia
Since the last time I met Kyle in the garden, I did not see him or the others again. But his words never left me. My mind kept replaying them, and I noticed that my name on his lips sounded so beautiful that I wanted to hear him say it every single day.
At first I was scared that he found out about me so fast, but then I realised that he was the one who ruled all over the United States. He was the leader of the black market and it was obvious that he would find out everything in a short span of time.
I spent my day helping Maëva and Laura in the kitchen, and then in the afternoon, Maëva and I went to watch a movie in my bedroom then we talked till dinner time. I was surprised none of the men who lived here came for dinner but I tried not to bother much about it and enjoyed my meal.
I then helped Maëva to clean the kitchen while she kept talking of her childhood. I enjoyed spending time with her. She was a really sweet girl who was crazy but really loveable. It was impossible to hate her and she was a really good friend too. She never missed the chance to make me laugh especially with her childhood stories when she used to prank Laura. I really enjoyed being her friend and she was now one of the most special person of my life.
"Hey you, where are you lost again?" her naughty voice snapped me out of my thoughts and I responded with a bright smile,
"I was thinking of how grateful I was to have you as friend! You never miss to make me laugh and to make me feel loved!"
"Oh, now don't make me emotional! I'm not usually an emotional bitch but if you continue, I'm surely gonna be one!" she replied while making fake cries.
One thing I had to admit about her was that, she was a real drama queen, which made her more adorable.
"Okay, now step out of your reverie and bring this tray to the pool!" she ordered.
"Pool?" I replied. It was already more than a week since I was living in this mansion but I never knew that there was a pool here. The mansion was literally surrounded by plants, then how could it have a swimming pool?
"Yes sweetie! A swimming pool! Which is found in the penthouse! You have not been there yet, so why not now?" she innocently replied.
I looked at the tray which had a glass of orange juice and then looked back at her. Something was really suspicious.
"What are you planning behind my back?" I asked."Who? Me? I'm innocent! I never plan anything behind someone's back. I respect my friends, you know!" she innocently replied back. Her reaction made everything seem more suspicious but I tried not to bother about it and took the tray in my hands and courageously walked out of the kitchen.
I walked towards the penthouse and when I reached there, I literally dropped the tray due to the magnificent view in front of me. There was a really huge swimming pool in front of me and there was a white mini couch and a small table enough for two persons to have a romantic coffee and a little swim.
This place was so peaceful and luxurious that I forgot why I was here and to add to this, I even forgot to ask Maëva for who I brought this juice. I was so silly sometimes!
I however went to place the tray on the table when suddenly I heard water splashes from the swimming pool. I froze and then realised I didn't really check if there was anyone in the pool who was diving. My mind was too focused on the decorations that I forgot to check who was in the pool. I silently prayed that the one who was in the pool was not the same one I annoyed in the morning, but it looked like luck was not on my side at all.
"Oh, so you brought me my juice today! I like that! You should come here more often while I'm diving or swimming. I will enjoy this time more than I usually do!" he said with a sweet yet mischievous voice that I could hear his smile through his tone. This man was really annoying sometimes.
