I was taught that love didn't have its place in the world that I lived in, the world where weakness and pain was on what we fed. Love was not meant for men like me, and I grew up believing it. I let my heart grow numb and cold, so no one would dare approach me.

But this woman, sitting on the bed with a book in her hand, changed everything. She made me feel again, she was the only one who had the power to make my heart flutter with the tiniest actions. She was the only one who was able to turn me into another person, someone I never knew I was.

With her, I felt human. She became my strength, my shining star, my precious orchid!

"Your strongly heated eyes on me, are making it difficult for me to keep reading!"

A mile wide smirk on my face, I climbed over the bed and took the book away from her, kissing her passionately, just the way I knew she adored it.

"Damn Kyle, why couldn't you wait for me to complete this chapter?!"

"You can keep reading while I will be taking care of you, Orkhideya!" I replied, my lips now on her soft and delicate neck.

"You're impossible!" she whispered, instinctively tilting her head to the side, giving me better access to her throat.

I nipped and sucked on her sensitive skin, breathing in her unique vanilla scent. There was something really special about her, she was the human version of all the most beautiful flowers of the world.

Amelia was blissful, beautiful and angelic, just like an orchid, and she smelled just like vanilla flower, sweet and compelling.

This woman was a precious gem who had a narcotic effect on me. She was addictive and I loved her just like that, a narcotic love.

"Jared and Maëva have not been back yet, have you talked to them? It's already so late, they should have already been back home!" she suddenly said, breaking our moment which was about to be fun.

Damn it! She was not only breathtaking and lovely but she was also cunning, and I was already fucked up by her. I slowly pulled away from her neck, half of my body over hers, my hands going up, playing with her soft hair.

"I paid them a hotel for tonight. You were right, they also needed to spend some time alone together!"

Her eyes glowed with happiness at my softly uttered words and she pecked me on my nose.

"Mí precioso, you are really the best!" she breathed before kissing my lips into a soft and delicious kiss.

Seeing her happy, brought peace to me. Being with her, were the only times I allowed myself to forget everything, and let my mind and soul be occupied only by her.

"Maëva called earlier and she told me that they kind of got into a fight with a man, and Jared beat him so bad that he couldn't walk!" she said, snapping me out of my reverie.

I took her hand in mine, kissing her palm and confidently replied,

"This is what happens when you send two monkeys out!"

She immediately burst into laughter after the fact that I spilled. Jared and Maëva were both crazy and troublesome, they were both another species of monkeys!

"And don't forget that you are their King, Kyle!" Amelia exclaimed, her laughter clearly not stopping soon.

I lifted an eyebrow at her, leaning closer to her, our noses touching into a feather like touch.
