"No, I don't know where she went, Alex!", I practically yell at him, annoyed by the question.

"I just saw her run this way!", Alex replies.

"Well, I didn't!", I rebut.

He groans before leaving the office.

I wait a second before reaching under my desk.

"You're safe now, honey.", I whisper to Patches as I set her in my lap.

"I knew it!", Alex re-opens the door, catching me in the act.

"No!", I yell, holding her close to my chest.

Patches curls up into my chest, the screaming and loud noise scaring her.

"Found her!", Alex yells back out into the hallway.

"Run, girl. Run!", I whisper to Patches, setting her back down on the floor.

She darts out between Alex's legs, running for her life.

"Where?", Clay skids to a stop outside of the office door.

"Finley was harboring her! Now she ran off again.", Alex sighs, his shoulders slumping in defeat.

"Finn, seriously?", Clay sighs, frustratedly running a hand through his hair.

Patches is due for her yearly shots today, and I don't want her to have to go through the pain.

So yeah, maybe I have been trying to help her out, but it is pretty entertaining to watch all five boys chase after her.

"Up here!", I hear Sapnap yell.

I move to follow them, but Clay stops me.

"If you're just going to let her run, please don't help.", he sighs.

I nod, following him quietly.

We ascend the stairs, and I can see George and Karl standing outside of the spare bedroom by Sap's office.

Karl holds a finger to his lips to shush us.

"Got her!", Sapnap announces triumphantly, holding up the squirming cat.

"Now we have to get her in the carrier.", George mumbles.

All of the boys let out collective groans at the reminder.

I grab the carrier, handing it to Karl.

Sapnap attempts multiple ways to get Patches into the carrier, but it doesn't seem to work.

George sets a few treats towards the back of the carrier, but she doesn't seem bothered to go investigate.

"I got it.", I try to step towards the poor cat, but Alex stops me.

"No, you're going to let her go!", he protests, standing between me and the carrier.

"I'm not. Just let me help.", I pout a little bit.

Alex thinks about it for a second before moving away.

I take Patches from Sapnap.

I scratch behind her ears while putting her into the carrier tail first.

As soon as she realizes she's in her carrier, I already have the door shut and locked.

"How did you do that?", Sapnap seems shocked.
