i wrote this at four am so it's shit, but have it anyway :)

"Can we talk?", I randomly ask while we all are settled on the couch.

"About what?", Karl questions me.

"About us. About Clay.", I slowly tell them.

Alex visibly tenses, still obviously upset by the situation.

"I think we should.", Sapnap nods.

George only nods.

His words have been limited lately, and it honestly worries me.

I know he's battling with a lot of feelings, so I'm hoping we can all choose to get back together.

To be whole again.

Lincoln's already asleep; he only made it halfway through Coco.

"I went to the house yesterday.", I admit quietly.

"You what?", Alex gasps, a betrayed look flickering over his features.

"Listen, I had to make sure he was okay. We have each other; he's alone. Patches can only help so much.", I try to lighten the mood the slightest bit, but it doesn't work like I wanted.

"You could've been hurt again!", Alex protests.

"Hey.", Karl places a hand on Alex's shoulder, trying to keep him calm.

"Alex, we know he fucked up. But he doesn't deserve this.", Sapnap explains his view on the situation.

I nod, agreeing.

I am fully aware of what Clay did, but there's no way in hell I'm throwing away our relationship over this.

I needed a moment to think and process the situation; I think we all did.

Now we're, mostly, healed and ready to move on.

Except for Alex.

"Why is this bugging you so bad?"

I'm not sure what surprises me more: the fact that George said something or the fact that George said something crazy deep.

"I just feel forgotten sometimes! He hurt Finley. He hurt me! I'm the only one that seems to care!", Alex blurts before slapping his good hand over his mouth.

His words hit me like a truck.

He feels forgotten?

He is the newest addition, but I've always thought we tried our hardest to make everything even.

"Alex...", I mumble.

Karl immediately gives him a giant hug, and we pile onto one another.

There's a lot of soft words exchanged between all of us, assuring Alex that he's anything but forgotten.

When we all release from the group hug, there's not a dry eye amidst us.

"Can we please go home?", I ask again.

We all glance at one another, all of our gazes landing on Alex.

He thinks for a split second before grinning.

"Let's go home.", he agrees.

We agree to leave early in the morning, not wanting to bother packing up and having to wake Lincoln at this time of night.

George and I end up in bed together, the other three in the second bedroom across the hall.

"How are you feeling about it all?", I ask George.
