My entire body freezes up at her sentence.

"Ok-okay.", I reply.

Sapnap's hand runs up and down my back, his silent attempt to soothe me.

"My husband and I have done some thinking about Lincoln's future. We truly do only want the best for our grandson. You know, since we know our other daughter isn't going to settle anytime soon. Which is also fine, we just really enjoy having little ones around the house again."

As much as I enjoy speaking to hear, I just really want to know what they've been thinking about Linc.

That's all I care about right now.

I murmur a little "mhmm" into the phone, nervously tapping my fingers against my upper lip, palm covering my mouth.

"Oh, enough of me.", she laughs the slightest bit, and I pity-laugh with her.

Just please get on with it.

"As much as we adore having Lincoln around the house, Michael and I are only getting older.", she starts.

I perk up the littlest bit, but I don't get my hopes up too high.

"We've struggled to keep up with him, as much as I hate to admit how awful my stamina is getting nowadays."

This piques my interest even further.

"I think he talks about you and all of his uncles at least twice a day. I can tell he misses all of you."

Sap's hand stills halfway down my back.

"I spoke to Mike last night, and we agreed that Lincoln's rightful place is with you."

The moment the words come out of her mouth; silent celebrations begin ensuing.

Clay pumps a fist in the air, a giant grin on his face.

Karl covers his mouth, muffling an excited squeal.

George's mouth is dropped open in shock, but the corners are turned up into a slight smile.

Alex pounces on Karl, giving him a big hug.

Sap just grins, squeezing me with the arm around my waist.

I don't say anything, but I also don't stop a giant smile from appearing on my face.

"I just want to personally apologize for getting lawyers involved and pushing so hard for custody. It's just-I don't know. He's really the only piece of Samantha we have left. We were emotional, and for some reason, we thought having him would bring us closer to her. God, he looks so much like his dad."

That comment makes me smile again, knowing he is a carbon copy of Archer.

"If you don't mind, we would like to keep close contact with him, but we really do hope that you'll be willing to take him in permanently. He absolutely adores all of you, and he's grown so much in his time with you all already.", I can hear her choking up a bit.

This is hard, but I appreciate it more than she'll ever know.

I definitely understand where she's coming from.

Linc is their only connection to Sam now, but he's also Archer's kid too.

"Um, of course, of course.", I quickly assure her.

If they're willingly giving him to us, I won't hold them back from seeing him.

I don't want them to miss out on him growing up.

Plus, they'll be able to tell him more about Sam than I'd ever be able to, especially as he grows up and has more questions.

"Oh, I'm so glad to hear it. We were hoping to be able to wrap up our week with him still, maybe give you all some time to prepare more for his permanent arrival this time?"

I glance around, all of the boys frantically nodding.

I grin.

"Totally."

The second I hang up the call, I'm immediately tackled by a group of excited boys.

"He's ours!", Karl squeals, muffled under the rest of the bodies.

"Linc is going to live with us!", Alex sighs happily.

"I want to be alive when he comes back. Get off.", I try to push against whoever is on top of me, able to tell it's Sapnap from the stubble scratching me, his face pressed between my neck and shoulder.

Sapnap is the only one that can understand my mumblings, and he manage to push up enough for the rest of the boys to understand.

Besides, I can't handle anymore broken bones right now.

Clay hops off the bed, jogging in place a few times.

"I feel like I could run a fucking marathon right now, I'm so fucking hyped.", he runs from one end of the bed to the other, a giant grin still on his face.

"What time is it?", Karl randomly asks.

"Almost eleven.", George replies after tapping the screen of his phone.

"Let's order pizza.", Karl grins.

"Why now?", I laugh, pushing myself up into a sitting position.

"In celebration! Linc is ours; we dine like kings.", Karl explains, gesturing dramatically with his arms.

"I second that idea.", Alex raises his hand.

"Third.", Sapnap also agrees, sitting up next to me.

"Normally I don't agree with these plans, but I think celebration is in order.", I agree.

Clay immediately grabs his phone, beginning to order a variety of pizzas and other sides to arrive to the house.

We all plop back down on the bed, me between Alex and George this time.

I rest my head on Alex's chest, playing with George's fingers on the hand he's draped over my side.

For the first time since the call, it actually hits me.

"He's actually ours.", I whisper.

Alex turns his head the slightest bit, a soft smile adorning his face.

"Crazy, isn't it?", he whispers, one of his hands coming up to run through my hair.

"You know what we should do?", Clay props himself up on his elbows, able to see all of us.

My eyes flicker up to his, waiting for him to continue.

"That spare room upstairs. The one on the side of Sap's office? We should make It his.", Clay proposes.

"Oh my god, we could deck it out in dinosaur stuff!", George quickly adds on to the idea.

"We have to!", Karl also agrees.

"I think that's a great idea.", I nod.

I'm so excited that they care about this as much as I do.

Seeing their excitement makes me melt.

The doorbell rings, and all the boys perk up again.

"Pizza's here!", Alex cheers.

They all race to the door, leaving me in the bed, foot still perched upon a pillow.

I can't wait to start this new part of our relationship.

And I can't wait to start this with all five of my favorite boys.
