Aurora stood proudly in between Edmund and Peter. If she were to die, she would die for her land. Narnia was her home, she had abandoned it once, a mistake she would not make again.
Peter turned to those behind him. "Be ready!" Aurora looked at Edmund, who nodded his head at her. They were ready for the plan, ready to fight for the land they loved, the place they had met.
A gasp escaped Caspian's mouth, causing Aurora to turn to look in front of them. A soldier was charging towards them. She hit Peter, causing the boy to notice the soldier.
The Telmarine tried to hurt the High King, though his attempt was unsuccessful. Peter sliced the soldier's leg, before beheading the man.
It was silent, still for a moment as none of the armies moved. It was almost as if they were waiting for the other to strike first. It was the Telmarines who made the first move. A catapult continuously threw boulders towards them. It was true Aurora could've stopped them all, but she was saving her strength. The Deaths of her soldiers would not be forgotten, nor would it be in vain.
The Telmarines charged towards the Narnians and that was when the plan began. Peter's counting was quiet, though both Aurora and Edmund could hear him. The Ice Warrior was ready to attack, waiting for a plan she strangely agreed with, a plan that made sense.
A smirk appeared on her face as Peter reached ten. A pit appeared in the ground, trapping the Telmarines. The archers released their arrows, killing, or injuring all those trapped.
"Charge!" Peter's voice yelled.
The battle was messy, blood was shed as each side thought viciously with intent to kill. Aurora stayed close to Edmund, making sure she was keeping the boy safe, as well as herself. Edmund was thinking the same thing, he wanted Aurora near him to ensure her safety.
Aurora's hand contained an icicle at all times, striking any of the Telmarines who came close enough to her.
A growl escaped her mouth as she realised what was happening. They were losing. She was failing her kingdom. She ran from the front, climbing the How so she was with the Archers.
Susan was confused as she looked at the girl, who seemed not to be following the plan. "What are you doing?" "Saving us," Aurora replied as she raised her staff. A dark grey cloud appeared above them.
It began to rain, confusing the Telmarines, until the rain pierced their skin, the sharp pieces of ice. Edmund smirked as he realised it was Aurora's doing. She was protecting them once more.
The Telmarines grew angry, until they met Aurora's eyes. They needed to get the Ice Warrior, otherwise they would lose. "Attack the girl."
Boulder after boulder hit the How. One boulder barely missed the girl. Susan became worried, though her worrying was in vain, as a large rock almost hit her. She lost her balance, fortunately Aurora grabbed her.
