Everything had changed, that was what ran through Edmund's mind as he walked with his once enemies. He wasn't sure why everything had happened, why the Telmarines attacked them, though he would stop them.
He wished Aurora was with them. During his absence from Narnia he thought often of Aurora, missing her dearly. How could he not? They were attached, rarely apart, only if they had to be.
"Are you okay, sire?" Caspian asked the young King. Edmund nodded his head. "Yes." "May I, can I ask a question?"
Edmund looked at the prince with uncertainty. He seemed nervous to ask what was on his mind, as if the king would attack him. "Ask and I'll decide if I can answer it."
"What was she like?"
Edmund had stopped walking, paralysed by his emotions. The question was one he wasn't ready to answer, he wasn't ready to discuss the Queen. He was in too much pain knowing she was gone.
Lucy, who had heard the question, went next to her brother, touching his arm in a comforting manner. She was aware of the strong connection between her brother and Aurora, knowing how deeply they both cared for each other. Aurora cared for Edmund more than any of them, though Lucy knew she was the girl's second favourite
Caspian's eyes widened as he realised the question had hurt the King. It wasn't his intention, he was merely curious and knowing their friendship, the younger King was the best person to ask. "Forgive me your majesty. I heard many things about your-"
"I'll tell you," Edmund told the prince. "Though not now. I need time." He walked away, leaving Caspian alone with Lucy. Lucy smiled at the prince. "The subject isn't one Edmund likes to discuss. She was his best friend, his soul mate."
Lucy walked away, standing next to her brother, linking arms with him in a way to comfort him.
Caspian replayed the young Queen's words in his mind. Aurora was Edmund's soul mate, she had said, but it didn't make sense to him. "I thought they were just friends."

Aslan's How was filled with a strange atmosphere. They were preparing for battle, though nobody knew what the outcome would be, or the plan.
Peter walked around the stone table, standing in front of the soldiers. He was taken his role as King Of Narnia with utter most seriousness. He had missed being the one in charge, the one to give orders. "It's only a matter of time. Miraz' men and war machines are on their way. That means those same men aren't protecting his castle."
