She Wasn't A Hero, Nor Was She A Villain
-------- -------- ❄️ -------- --------
Nicholas Claus was right to say Battles were ugly affairs. Many from both the Witch's side and Aslan's side were dead.
Peter and Edmund were surprisingly two who remained, not only alive, but strong. The two Sons Of Adam were fighting harder than most, they refused to let anyone else suffer at the hands of the Witch.
Jadis was smirking as she killed Narnian after Narnian, not caring for the pain she caused them. She was going to win, whatever the cost. The witch was ready to strike a creature, only to see a figure standing not too far on a rock.
The witch gasped as she stared at the familiar figure. The outfit was the same as her sister's before her death. The person even held the same staff.
The Ice Warrior had returned.
"Impossible! You're dead!" Jadis' yells caught the attention of many of those around her.
Edmund had realised what had happened. The witch was distracted, he knew that it was the perfect opportunity to strike, possibly the only opportunity to stop her. He went over to her, slicing her staff in half, causing a bright light to appear.
Jadis glared at the boy, before stabbing him with the broken staff. Edmund's body fell to the ground, all while the Ice Warrior watched. She let out a high pitch scream, causing all the frozen creatures to become alive once more. They returned to the battle.
The Ice Warrior rushed over to Jadis, fighting the witch. Jadis was scared as she blocked each of the warrior's hits. "Crystal?"
Jadis gasped as the Ice Warrior removed her mask, throwing it to the ground. The witch was shocked at the sight of her angered niece. The girl wasn't fighting on her side, but against her, the opposite of her plan.
Aurora growled at her aunt, her anger fast building up. She was angry not only that the witch had killed her parents, but that she had hurt Edmund, a boy she cared for deeply. "You killed her," she started, her voice rising. "You killed my mother and my father, because you were in love with him. You made me believe it was Aslan!"
"I loved him!" Jadis yelled. "And now, you die," Aurora hissed.
The sound of the sword and staff were loud as the two fought. Aurora blocked everyone of Jadis' strikes. When Aurora was pushed back, she was greeted with the sight of a severely injured Edmund. The boy was almost unconscious, his eyes fluttering closed.
A scream escaped Aurora's mouth as she pushed her staff into Jadis' body, freezing the woman, turning her into an ice statue. She pulled out the staff, causing the witch to break into millions of pieces. The pieces melted, turning into ash as a gentle breeze lifted them away.
Peter smiled as he realised Aurora had done it, she had defeated the witch. The witch had been killed by her own niece. Lucy and Susan rushed over to their older brother, hugging him tightly.
Aurora ignored the interaction between the siblings as she kneeled next to the boy. "You'll be okay." "You- you did it," he stuttered. Aurora's eyes began watering as she smiled down at the boy. "You helped me, you broke her staff."
Peter, Susan and Lucy rushed over to the almost dead boy. He started coughing as Aurora put his head on her lap. "I got you, I've got you," she soothed him.
Edmund didn't care that he was going to die. He was going to die in peace, in Aurora's arms. He had helped Narnia, he had helped defeat the Witch and that was all that mattered.
