If the world spun fast enough, we would experience night and day twice in twenty-four hours. Water levels would rise, hurricanes would awaken. The world would be wiped beneath the surface of tides.
But what would happen if the world just... stood still?
I believe the answer is standing before me.
Dark satin sheets, a thunderous heart, and a taunting shadow that lurks behind me. "Your safe word?" His footsteps stop behind me, and his breath hits the nap of my neck in a hot flare.
I inhale. "I don't need one."
I feel him smirking behind me. "So confident that you can handle it, aren't you?" Romero muses. "Your safe word is red."
He pulls my hair back, and I tip my head back over his shoulder. "What's your safe word?"
My skin burns when his lips press against my neck. "Red," I whisper.
"Good," He murmurs, then spins me around to face him.
"Arms up."
I extend my arms into the air, and he grips the jumper, sliding it up my hips. His fingers brush against my skin and I shiver when it drops to the ground, leaving me completely naked.
"Beautiful," He murmurs then throws me back onto the bed. My lips part in a surprised gasp.
"Not a sound." He warns.
Oh. He means it literally.
I feel the heat of his body nearing mine, like the waves of a warm fire, and then his lips are surrounding my breast, tugging my nipple into his mouth. Every bone in my body melts and the pleasure routes to my core.
He twirls the other one with his finger, pinching and tugging. I throw my head back and squeeze my eyes shut. Fuck.
This man will evoke screams within me.
Adding to the indelicate flames, he uses the pad of his thumb and rubs between my legs. I inhale sharply, fighting every instinct to moan.
"Relax." He whispers.
And I do.
I allow myself to feel. To not conceal the way he makes my body fall around him. I meet his gaze and blink, watching the world fade. Watching him fade.
He smiles softly, that earth-shattering smile, as he dips his finger inside. I lose my senses and my head falls back as I unravel with every thrust. The pleasure builds quickly, and I notice the moon as it sings darkly, stirring the stars around the universe. Our universe.
I fist my hands, nails digging into my palms painfully.
His fingers hit a sweet spot inside repeatedly, and I clamp my teeth shut. He knows every weakness.
My toes curl, and my body grows stiff when he twists his fingers. There. I'm there. But then he pulls away and my eyes snap open, ready to protest.
Romero moves to caress my cheeks and plant a kiss on my lips. "What's your safe word?"
"Red," I say breathlessly.
"Good." He slips off the bed and drags me to the edge, and then he's kissing between my legs, sucking my clit. I clamp my legs around him and he pries them back open, assaulting my nerves. I drag my nails along the sheets, and I forget how to function when he applies more pressure. I bite my lip, fighting away the moans, and when I think that I'll lose the battle, he pulls away.
No. Not again.
"Stand up." The feral look in his eyes is enough for me to come undone, but I want to finish at the touch of his hands.
