This book is dedicated to my past self and to my future self—who has many more lessons to learn.
~

When I first started writing this book, I was on the wrong path in my life. Stuck in university course that I despised, I followed everything in the books when it came to my parents approval.

I saw myself in Amara's shoes a lot of the time, and without fully realising it, I was teaching myself lessons as I wrote this book.

I'm not trapped in my position, and I have the choice of choosing happiness.

So I left university to start a new life, and thus, Silent Sins came to be what it is today.

When I went through this transition, I was so frightened, because I didn't know what I was doing. Even until this day, I still don't know what I'm doing, but I'm not alone in this, and neither are you guys.

I found myself in a really dark place at one point, and like the last scene of this book, I would take the car out onto the highway and drive listening to "I'd love to change the world by Jetta" I started craving the rush because I was so miserable, so if there's anything I can take from this experience, it's that life is too short to not do what you love.

Please, if you ever find yourself in a position where you don't enjoy something– and you have given it a shot– leave with the knowledge that you tried, and pursue something you love.

If I could hand this message out to everyone, and truly inspire someone to chose happiness, It would mean so much.

You guys made leaving university so much easier. I am so grateful to everyone one of you, because without an audience, I might have still been dreading the days I wake up to a course I do not enjoy.

Every single one of you make my life better, and your comments throughout this journey truly gave me life.

So thank you. I cannot say it enough ❤️
