Does he like her?
Should he ask himself?
If he does, would he really get an answer?
He has no idea.
Honestly he knows what it is to like someone, to get attracted towards someone; but it was not like that.
She's different. She's not even close to what they call normal but she can flaunt her unapologetic existence with a flag in the air. She's challenging him in ways he didn't even know how to respond. And he finds it intriguing.
So when Rebecca asked him if he likes Sun, he didn't have an answer.
His confusion grew ten folds when the sweet little accident happened. The way he saw Sun getting flustered and embarrassed which was so unlike her, he couldn't help but wonder if he was the reason behind that.
Taehyung came back from the clouds of his daydream as his older brother appeared at the door of his room. He signed the younger to put his earphones down.
"Mwo?" He looked up with curious puppy eyes.
"Tae, I remember I told you to bring the oyster mushroom. Why did you bring the button ones?" He showed up the packet with an annoyed face.
An awkward smile crept up in Taehyung's lips as he tried to form words. By the time he figured out an excuse, his brother has already left the room.
"Yah! Jin hyung!"
Since it's Saturday evening and weekend is the only time he gets to spend with his brother, Taehyung definitely didn't want to ruin it because of some stupid mushroom.
"Jin hyung!" He got up from his study table, leaving the pages open.
(They are communicating in Korean)
"Be more responsible Tae! If you keep messing up little things like this.... "
"Mianhae hyung! There was so much crowd in the shop today and you know.... I just had to pick one and get out of there." He hugged his brother's arm.
Seokjin looked at the younger and his eyes softened. Since childhood, Taehyung has been afraid of crowded and congested places. Their parents could never take him to large gatherings or busy markets or malls and so Seokjin had to stay home too to take care of him.
Taehyung gave his older brother a smile in return. Sometimes he gets cranky over very little things and makes it harder to reason with but he can't really blame him. Since their father got addicted to drugs after their mother passed away, Seokjin was the one who had to hold the strings of the family and business. For almost three to four years the brothers survived the non stop verbal abuse (sometimes it got physical too, Tae being the victim always) and toxic behaviour until finally they were able to send their father in the rehab a few months ago. The went to visit him a few times only to meet disappointment and regret of even approaching. He was getting rid of the alcohol bit by bit but his behaviour didn't change at all. Whenever they had tried to talk to him, he would blame them for sending him there and curse Taehyung again for wanting to continue his studies.
He didn't like the fact that Taehyung was a nerd. According to him, getting involved in their business is much better than just studying more and wasting time as well as money.
Since Taehyung was now grown up, Seokjin had no worries of him being home alone; because he had to spend the nights at their press on the working days. That's right, they own a book press factory in the other part of the city.
