The letters inked in black italics bounced off of her head as Sun tried to register her high pitched overly excited words in her head. It has been only a few hours since the beginning of the sports festival and she was already considering this as one of the biggest mistakes of her life, apart from falling for Min-hoe.

She cringed.

"So if you can just push this to the second half, hey are you listening?"

"Yeah, I have two brains. Why don't you give me the suitable time for the lap race and I'll gear back to you later on?"

There were four schools in total and not every one of them participated in the same events. Apparently this school, the volunteer girls Sun was talking to, had a lap race with another school and she needed manage some time for that in between other events.

"No probs girlie! Also, you seem a little down, is every thing okay?"

No, I am a vampire born to erase another pain in the ass vampire race who are just bored because of their centuries old lifetime.
No, I am still being kept in a dark place about that.

"No, actually. I woke up in the morning with a penis."

With that said in a smile looking like she needs to take a shit, she left the girl who was forcefully trying to impose a friendship and as soon as she returned to the makeshift dorm of their school, Sun threw the clipboard on the wall with a deep growl, resulting the poor wooden object break into two.

What the hell is wrong with Lady Serena?

"Legacy? Of the sacred blood? Me?" Sun let out a dry chuckle in utter disbelief. "Mother, are you out of your mind? *chuckle again* Me? I mean... WHAT?"

"Dear, I know it's a lot to take but you have to trust."

"I would have, it it were about being able to beat the pathetic excuse of a royal bastard... Heck, it would have been fine even if I were to inherit some throne or something... But The Sacred Blood? Mother, this is ridiculous..... "

"Are you questioning my intuition or my powers?"

Well, that shut her up.

"Look... " Lady Serena stepped forward and placed a palm on her shoulder, making Sun wonder like ever time how the natural discomfort felt during a physical contact of a vampire and a witch doesn't count when it comes to them. "The universe works in a mysterious way. It's very natural for you to feel this way. But my dear... " She held the younger's chin and tilted it up. "You need to have complete faith and let it channel through you. If it's meant to happen, it will happen. Nothing can stop it, not you, not me, not anyone. So stop fighting. I can't guarantee it's a path paved with flowers, I can't promise that you won't face hardships but help will always be there for you - in a proper place and a proper time. You just have to accept that as your purpose and the universe will make sure to guide you throughout the journey."

"But..... I'm not ready..... "

"We never are.... "

Sun closed her eyes and sighed deeply, basking in the warmth of her mother who was holding her in embrace. She had never fought the blood moon leader herself. It was father. She was only  able to figure out their true strategy by herself that resulted in their win last time.
