As far as she could see, there wasn't a single person at sight; except for the droplets of water on leaves, the crawling ants on the wet soil, the bloated tummies of the frogs and the thick mist on the chest of the river.....

Miles after miles, these were all she could see.

Keeping the Raptor knife aside, Sun scratched the palm of her right hand; this time so vigorously that it bled. What's with this itching?

It was four twenty seven in the morning and she was sitting on the topmost branch of a Southern border tree of their territory. It rained heavily a while ago and her clothes were still soaked; occasionally sending chills down her spine at the cold breeze following after. The wet, musky petrichor was heavily hanging on the air, impregnating it with the sweet smell. The sky at the East horizon was hued to a lighter shade of blue, premoniting the sunrise an hour or half later. It was already late September and the anticipation of the winter's arrival as well as the year's end was vivid in every detail of the nature.

Taking a deep breath, Sun concentrated on the surreal faint whistle of the Californian Sub Jay coming from the other side of the wide river in front of her viewpoint. There were stars still decorated in the sky like gems but their light was faded. The cool wetness of the thick branch she seated on was crawling into her skin and to feel that more intensely, she took off her tee shirt; exposing most of her scarred porcelain skin into mother nature's soothing palms.

If he were here with her, he would have been mesmerized by the beauty of a dawn in forest. Looking around, she tried to figure how he would take everything in.

He has made her soft.

A smile tried to crawl up her lips as she missed his presence terribly; almost like a fatal tug in her blood pumping apparatus. Taking the knife again in her hand, she dragged it across her forearms carving the syllable - 태.

Although it would be completely healed by evening, she couldn't help but feel butterflies on her belly, seeing his name on her hand. She would so much want to decorate both of their bodies with the traditional markings but he was still her fragile baby human. She can't break him yet.

Ah, she can carve his name on her daylight ring.

A soft rustling in the branches from distance alerted her senses; immediately shutting the thoughts and snapping the fighter out of her; but to her relief it was just a wild dear half a mile away.

The animal was young and it had a sweet blood but she felt too lazy to go and feed on it.

Just then Yoongi appeared behind her out of thin air.

"Asshole!"

"You need to develop your sensory skills." He looked at her upside down, hanging from the branch above and completely unbothered by the only navy blue sports bra she was wearing on top of jeans.

"Once I do that, I'll definitely bust you reading porno in the attic."

"Is that your way of agreeing?"

"No, it's me telling you to stop acting like a cat that pathetically tries to cover up the poop but fails miserably."

Yoongi put on his usual serious face and stood beside her sitting form looking sharply at the river side while she slipped on her tee, shivering once.

"You go feed now. I'll catch up to you later."

Sun stood up at his side on the branch and put her chin on his left shoulder.
