Rebecca came out with her perfect burgundy ponytail swinging in the air.

"You should try this color... "

"For the millionth time, I don't have any interest in... "

"Blah-blah-blah-I'm-a-boy-in-a-girl's-body-I'm-too-cool-for-all-that... Seriously why am I even friends with you?"

"I ask myself the same question every day."

"Fuck you!"

Both of them laughed at each other's bickering and got out of the apartment.

Hadn't it been Sun's quick reaction time that got Rebecca practically dragged towards the almost leaving bus, they would have been standing outside the classroom half an hour later as a punishment.

"You should thank me."

"Who'll pay for my torn socks?"

"I'll sew it."

Eyes from everywhere fell on them as soon as they entered the compound. Some scrunched their noses, some turned their heads away with huff and some mumbled incoherent comments. That's right. All the people in the surrounding were reacting to the paradoxical friendship they have displayed since their first year. Rebecca, the walking Barbie doll of the campus and Sun, the ironically gorgeous tomboy even the guys are scared to pick on.

"There it is, Ariana Grande and Billie Eilish... "

"Bless your eyes Dick, I mean Rick... " Rebecca showed her middle finger up with a high pitched voice earning a cooing from the crowd while Sun just rolled her eyes taking bold steps towards the class.

Sun snatched her notebook away from Phillip who was copying her homework in lightning speed.

"Hey! I was almost done.... "

"Be happy with what you got, Phill."

"Why do you even spoil him?" Rebecca whined while they lined up for submission.

Sun just shrugged her shoulder and said, "He can't copy my intelligence, can he?"

"I don't understand you." She sighed.

It was a line of almost thirty people. Rebecca started blabbering about why maths period is always first for the day but Sun had something else in her mind.

**Flashback**

The lights in every apartment of the building were off except a particular high schooler resident.

Sipping from her 5th cup of coffee since she returned from her part time at the café, Sun tied her hair up in a messy bun and pulled her earphones out. Rebecca has been kind enough to send her the homework she gathered from her other friends for they both were absent from school with an excuse of having the day off. Now that she was done, Sun was going to do the laundry when suddenly her hair stood up behind her head.
