"I'm sure he was just exaggerating Scott," Hope assured him.

"Hope, I seriously doubt your dad would exaggerate to that extent, especially since he mentioned your mom," Scott said, trying not to focus on the throbbing pain in his side.

"I just don't want to see you get hurt." He said softly.

As they turned onto the next street Hope noticed that Scott seemed to be in a lot of pain. "Scott, how bad is it?" She asked as she turned the car full size and pulled over.

"What do you mean?"

"Don't lie to me, Scott." She said looking into his eyes searching for the truth.

"Ok, it might be a little worse than I thought it was." He admitted.

"How much worse?" She was getting more concerned by the second. When he wouldn't answer, she got out of the car and opened his door so that she could see the stab wound because it was obvious that Scott wasn't going to tell her if he was in too much pain. Before he could react she looked at his side but was shocked to see how much blood he had lost.

"Oh, Scott why didn't you tell me?"

"I didn't want to worry you." He said, wincing from the pain in his side.

"The hospital is just a few minutes away from here, do you think you can make it until a doctor can see you?"

"Yeah, I think so." He answered.

She got back in the driver's seat and started driving again. She couldn't help but blame herself for Scott's injury.

"You know it's not your fault right?" He asked as if reading her mind. "But it is," She said sadly.

"Listen, I chose to protect you, it was my choice. I couldn't just stand by and watch you get killed." Scott said, feeling as though Hope had wished it had been her.

He was right of course, she felt responsible for the whole thing. For the next minute, they rode in silence, and then they pulled into a parking spot at the hospital.

"What's it gonna take for you to stop blaming yourself?" He asked her. "Fine, I'll stop blaming myself if you go inside and get a doctor to see you." She lied. "Deal." He said. After a few minutes, they got a room and thankfully, the doctor came to see them quickly.

"Hi, I'm Dr. Adams, can you please tell me what happened." He said.

She didn't know why, but Hope didn't trust this doctor.

They didn't tell him what really happened, but they came up with a convincing cover story.

"So you were working with a saw and accidentally stabbed yourself?" Dr. Adams said, undoubtedly confused.

Okay, maybe not that convincing.

"Yeah, it was pretty random," Scott said, hoping that he bought the story.

Fortunately, he did and he examined the wound.

"It's a pretty deep cut, but no organs were punctured. It will have to be disinfected and stitched up, but he should be fine." He told Hope.

"Unfortunately, you won't be." He said sinisterly. She gasped as he pulled a rubber mask and revealed his real face.

Micheal's face!

"I have to admit, you had me fooled for a while, I never thought Hank would ever pass down that suit." He said in his French accent. "But now that I know you are his daughter, there is no way you will live." He threatened while taking out his swords.

But just as he was least expecting it, someone kicked him from behind, knocking him onto the hospital bed. "Scott?!" She exclaimed in disbelief. How he found the strength, she had no clue. But she was pretty sure he had just saved her life again.

"Run!" He told her with fear in his eyes. He knew what Michael was capable of, and he didn't want Hope to go through the same pain he was.

"No, I left you once and I'm not gonna do it again." She insisted.

"How pathetic, but at least I'll get two kills today," Michael said, getting ready to fight.

"At least we have our suits." Hope thought, then she realized something. Her regulator was still broken! "At least Scott's suit is still working." She said to herself trying to stay positive.

But luck wasn't in their favor, as they would soon find out.

Michael attacked fully focused on Hope, but Scott had learned his lesson. Before Michael could even get close, Scott intercepted him. But he was still weak from his injury and after fighting for a few minutes, Michael pushed him against the wall and pushed the bed in front of him so that he couldn't move. Scott tried to shrink but the bed had crushed his Pym Particles.

"Hope, Go!" He shouted as Michael advanced toward her. "I'm not leaving you!" She yelled.

"Don't worry, you can see her in the afterlife," Michael said, so sure he was gonna win. But seeing him hurt Scott like that filled her with adrenaline.

"Are you ready to surrender or will I need to kill your boyfriend before I kill you?" He asked.

"How about no!" She shouted before punching him in the face. But before he could recover from shock, she kneed him between his legs. Even Scott couldn't help but feel the tiniest bit bad for him. He knew how strong Hope could be and he knew that Michael would take a while to recover.

"You'll regret that," Michael said, staring at Hope almost with respect.

"You're a good fighter, I'll give you that, too bad you still have to die."

Scott needed to get out so he could help her, but his stab wound was hurting even worse than before. He watched them fight for another minute before getting an idea. "Where is it?" He asked himself, going into a panic.

"Hey Michael, since you like death so much, you would like the Code: Blue button right?" Scott asked innocently before hitting the button.

Alarms sounded and doctors would be there any second.

"No! This isn't over Lang!" Michael yelled before he ran out of the room.

"Scott..." Hope said before fainting.

"Hope!" He got a sudden burst of energy and got the bed off him and ran to her. He knelt and held her in his lap. Thankfully the button he pressed had called a bunch of doctors into the room.

"What's going on?" A doctor asked as they entered the room. "I don't know, just please help her," Scott begged.
