Scott, Bruce, Steve, and Clint talked for a few more minutes, and long-story-short, Scott explained why Hope needed to come with them, without revealing anything about her attacks, and that's about it. Clint, Steve, and Bruce went to talk to Nebula and Rocket. Scott was about to go and find Hope, but Nat was standing in his way.

"Nat, wha-" He started. "Really Scott?" She said angrily.

"What did I do?"

"Oh, I don't know. How about telling Hope she couldn't go on the mission?" She said, crossing her arms. "Why would you do that?" "I didn't know what to do." He admitted.

"She could get seriously hurt on the mission. We both know her attacks aren't something to mess around with." He said.

"I know, and I agree with you, but Hope's stronger than you think." "That's why I changed my mind. It's more likely that something would happen to her if she's here by herself than if I was with her on the mission. That way she'll know I'm safe, and I'll know she's safe." He explained.

"Well, that changes things... Just try to talk to her," She said and then walked away.

Scott found Hope talking to Nebula. "Why hello, idiot." Nebula said, greeting Scott. "Just because your spaceship killed my taco, and surprised me, I am branded for life as "idiot."

"Yes, and also because women are far superior to men." She said. Scott could see that Hope was trying to hold back a smile. "But seriously, before you two go to Vormir, there's something you should know about the soul sto-" Nebula started, but was interrupted by Tony entering the room with Thor and Rhodey.

"Since these two finally showed up, we can start." He said. "We're just going to go over who's going after what stones. When your name is called, go to the section that matches your stone." He explained while throwing hologram infinity stones into four sections.

"Nat, Clint, Rhodey, and Nebula. Power stone." They walked over to the Power stone section.

"Rocket and Thor. Reality stone." They went to the Reality stone section.

"Scott and Hope. Soul stone." They walked over to the death sect- I mean, the Soul stone section.

"And finally, Bruce, Steve, and I, Time, Space, and Mind stones." Tony finished.

"Everyone remember which stone they have and where they have to go?" They all gave a silent nod.

"All right, we have a plan. Six stones, four teams, one shot." Steve said. They walked to the quantum platform as Steve gave an inspirational speech.

(Sorry I didn't have the time to write out one of Steve Rogers' inspirational monologues.)

Scott walked next to Hope and asked her, "Are you okay? You can still back out if you need to." "Scott, I'm fine." She said, but he could still see the panic in her face.

They all stood on the platform. "See you in a minute," Nat said, and then they went subatomic.

Tony had already set everyone's GPSs to where they needed to go, so all they had to do was press the button.

Scott had only been in the quantum realm twice, but its beauty still baffled him. Before they had gone subatomic, Scott had been holding Hope's hand comfortingly. He almost decided against it because he and Hope had wanted to keep their relationship a secret. But he needed her to know that he was there.

Even while rocketing through the quantum realm, Scott was still able to look at Hope. He could see her eyes through her helmet, and he could tell that this was hard for her. She had already gone through this once, and now she had to go through it again. He wanted to talk to her, to comfort her, but he couldn't use the radio when they were time traveling.

And just like that, they were outside. It took their eyes a few seconds to adjust, but when they could see clearly, they were stunned. They were standing at the foot of a ginormous mountain.

"That looks like fun..." Hope said sarcastically. "I'm guessing the stone is at the very top," Scott said. "Why can't it be down here?" He asked, looking at all the small puddles and pools of water around them.

"Guess we better get going." She said, then she looked at Scott with a smile. "What- Oh no. No, no, no, no. No! I'm not doing that again. Especially not on a mountain. No!" He protested.

A few seconds later, Hope and Scott were both miniaturized, and she was flying him up the mountain. "Hope, could you please stay a little closer to the mountain!" He called through the radio. "Fine."

For the next ten minutes, Hope flew up the side of the mountain. As they got closer to the top, it got a lot steeper, so they both turned to full size and climbed the rest of the way. They had to keep close together, or they would freeze to death.

When they got to the top, they were both disappointed. They didn't see anything, let alone an infinity stone. "Did we just come up here for nothing?" Scott asked.

"Welcome, Hope, daughter of Hank and Scott, son of Marie." A voice said from the shadows. "Who are you?" Scott asked. "Consider me a guide to you and all who seek the Soul stone." The voice said.

Hope shuddered. The voice sounded just like the voice in her head from two years before.

Then a cloaked figure came out from the shadows.

This chapter was not as short as some of the past few chapters. And, well, we all know what happens on Vormir. So come back for the next chapter to see who jumps. 😬
