Warning: If you don't read this message you won't understand the following chapters. In this story, the blip only lasts two years not five. And Cassie got blipped along with Maggie and Paxton. Thank you for reading this message.
"You ready Scott?" Hank asked from the control board.
"Yeah," Scott replied, shaking off the feeling that something was wrong.
"Going subatomic in 5 4 3 2 1." And then Scott was sucked into the tunnel.
"Alright Scott, this is a mic check," Hank said. No response.
"Mic check 1...2, 1...2, how's everybody tonight in the quantum realm,"
"Scott, I read you," Hank said annoyed that Scott was joking at a time like this.
"Okay, I just wanted to make sure." He said and then opened the capsule to collect the healing particles, then quickly closed it. "Ok, healing particles secured for Hope."
"Great, preparing for reentry in 5 4 3......" Hank said before the static interfered.
"Hello? Haha, very funny, Hank quit screwing around, you told me yourself never to screw around. Hank, seriously don't joke around, bring me back, let's go, Hank!" Scott yelled through the radio.
~~~At the hospital~~~
Hope suddenly sat straight up, eyes open wide.
Something had woken her up, it was as if someone snapped loudly in her mind. (*cough* HINT *cough*)
She forgot where she was for a second, but then she remembered what happened before she blacked out.
Scott was kidnapped by the Avengers.
She turned to a nurse in the room just as they turned to dust as well as the doctor.
She couldn't breathe. Was she going to turn to dust as well?
After waiting a few minutes, she decided she was safe, but what about everyone else?
What about Scott?
She got out of the hospital bed and went for her bag in the corner of the room. Lucky for her that's where her Wasp suit was. Hank had also fixed it up so that it worked again. She put it on and walked over to the chart that the nurse had dropped when she disintegrated. Hope gasped as she read the chart.
She had been in a coma for two months! She needed to find out more.
She shrunk and snuck out of the hospital, although almost everyone there was gone. She flew to Scott's house, but he wasn't there.
She tried calling him, but he didn't answer.
Finally, she decided to turn on the news to find out what the hell was happening.
"It is with great sadness that I must inform you that the Avengers have lost the fight with Thanos and half of humanity is now gone." The reporter said shakily. "Here is Captain America with the remaining Avengers."
They said pulling up a photo of Thor, Black Widow, Hulk, Hawkeye, War Machine, and Captain America.
Hope scanned the photo multiple times but was heartbroken when she couldn't find Scott.
"You don't know that he's gone, they still have to say who didn't make it." She reassured herself.
Then they pulled up a list of them and started reading out loud.
"Vision, Black Panther, Winter Soldier, Falcon, Wanda Maximoff, and Ant-Man."
She felt like her heart stopped.
But just when she thought she couldn't hurt anymore...
"We just received information that Ant-Man/Scott Lang's employer, Hank Pym also didn't make it along with Scott's daughter Cassie Lang and her mother and stepfather, as well as Hope Van Dyne, who died in a coma." The reporter said, then it showed Captain America addressing the situation.
"Are there things we could've done better in the heat of the moment, yes, but I assure you we are doing everything we can to bring them back." The renowned hero said into the camera, and then it went back to the news.
"That was Captain America, a man who always looks out for others." The reporter said.
Before they could say another word, Hope shut off the T.V and started crying.
Scott was gone.
Her dad was gone.
And so was Cassie.
To top it all off, Captain America acts as if he cares. He didn't care when he kidnapped Scott, he only wanted him to help him.
Now because of that, she would never get to see Scott again.
And now the world thought she was dead.
"Everyone I ever loved is dead, and now the rest of the world thinks I'm dead, so why not go along with it." She said.
And from that point on, it was like she'd died with the rest of them.
Author's Note
Okay, so I know that last part was a little dark, but if you're wondering, no Hope did not kill herself. She just faked her death. I am not that evil. But if you didn't read the note on top yet, do it now. Thank You!
