After the initial shock of having two people coming back from the dead, they had a good time. "So, Scott finally asked you," Nat said, talking to Hope. She nodded, smiling. "It took him long enough! I knew he would do it. I just didn't know when." Nat said. "I guess seeing your death really gave him a wake-up call." She said, almost as an afterthought. "How did you know about that? You weren't even there!." Hope asked, slightly shocked. "Bruce showed me the suit-cam footage from the battle." She admitted. "And I have to say, I was tearing up a bit. I mean, I knew that you two were close, but he was really heartbroken. Well, I knew you were together, but I didn't know how deep the relationship went if you know what I mean." She explained. "We didn't want anyone else knowing, just in case it didn't work out," Hope said. "What do you mean?" Nat asked, confused. "My dad doesn't exactly approve of Scott." She answered quietly. "Yeah, you told me about that. But at least he didn't kill Scott when he asked him to marry you." Nat said. Hope stayed silent. "He didn't ask, did he." "No, but that was probably for the best." She said. "So your dad doesn't know?" Nat asked. "I told him last night. And just like I thought, he threw a fit about how Scott is a criminal and how he isn't good enough for me." "What did he say? How did you guys leave things?" Nat asked. She sounded like a teenage girl wanting to know the latest gossip. "I told him that if he kept up with what he was doing, he'd basically never see me again." She answered softly. "I'm so proud of you! You finally stood up to him!" Nat hugged her happily. Hope noticed Cassie talking to Loki a few feet away. She watched the once thought to be dead god closely. She didn't trust him. Not after New York. Cassie grabbed Loki's hand and had him follow her upstairs. "I want to show you my room!" The little girl said, happy that her old friend was back. "Nat, I gotta go check on Cassie. I'll talk to you later." Hope said, starting to follow them.

Cassie showed Loki her room, telling him about her dad and everything that happened after New York. "A couple of years ago, my dad became a superhero too! But that was in 2015. After his first mission, he started to date Hope, but they broke up after he was put on house arrest. Then they back together about a year and a half later. In 2018 something really weird happened. I was watching a movie with my mom and stepdad and suddenly it was two years into the future." She explained. Loki connected the dots. Cassie was a part of the 50% that Thanos had killed. He felt his special hatred for the titan grow even more, but he didn't show it. Just then, Hope showed up and stood in the doorway. "Hey Cass, your dad's looking for you downstairs." She told the young girl. "Okay!" She replied and walked out. But before she went downstairs, she turned to Hope, hugged her, and said, "I'm really glad you're marrying my daddy." Then she left. That was exactly what Hope needed to hear. Confirmation that Cassie was happy. Her smile faded when she realized that she was now alone with the god. "What are you really doing here?" She asked him. She didn't trust him, not after what he did. To her and New York. "I already told you. I am here as a friend, not a threat." He said, walking towards her. "It's Hope, right? The man of iron mentioned you briefly." "Yes, but why does that matter?" She asked. He took another step forward, making her defensive. "He's too close. He might try to attack me." She thought. He took one more step and Hope kicked his legs out from under him. When he tried to get back up, she punched him in the face, causing him to be distracted. She took the advantage and held his arm behind his back. "Tell me why you are here." She demanded. She wasn't about to let him hurt her family. He was shocked. "There's only one person who has ever used that move on me..." He mumbled to himself in realization. He used his mind control powers to look through her memories. (Just think of what he did to Valkyrie in Ragnarok.) He found the memory and played it.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Flashback~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hope was near Stark Tower when the invasion began. In fact, she was fighting Chitauri on the street. At first, she had been hiding in a cafe, when she saw a little boy, who couldn't have been more than eleven, being attacked by one of the aliens. She ran out to help and killed the alien soldier. She took the little boy back to the cafe and asked him, "Hey, what's your name?" "Peter Parker," The boy answered. "Okay, Peter, where are your parents? She asked. Peter's eyes started to water as he said, "One of those things got them. I ran away with my Aunt May, but I can't find her." She felt really bad for the kid, so she helped him find his aunt. Turns out, she was on the street looking for him. "Peter! Oh, thank God you're alright!" She cried, hugging her nephew. Then the Chitauri attacked again. Hope got both of them out of there and fought off the aliens. She had managed to kill them when she saw a man in gold and green clothing standing a few feet away. "You might cause a problem." He said in an almost British accent. The next thing she knew, they were fighting each other. She used a move that she came up with and ended up with her overpowering him. But since he was under the Scepter's influence, he knocked her out with his magic, and when she woke up, he was gone. She shook it off and went to find Peter and May, but she never saw them again.
"It's you. You're the woman who fought me in New York." Loki said. The two stood up to face each other. "Yes, so can you blame me for not trusting you?" She asked. "I suppose I can't... But I do hope you'll forgive me. At least for Cassie's sake." He replied.
