"No!"

He turned to the alien standing over her and killed it instantly. He knelt next to Hope, who was writhing in agony. The spear hadn't gone deep enough to have serious consequences, but she had landed full force on her broken leg and was bleeding a lot.

He was speechless. Once again, he tried to protect her, and she got hurt anyway.

"Scott..." Her face was tight with pain.

"It's okay. I'm here. I'm going to get you help, okay?"

She didn't respond.

He started looking through his pockets. Maybe he had something that would help.

His hand fell to a particular capsule that he didn't remember being there. He took it out, and he couldn't believe his eyes. It was the capsule that held the healing particles that he had gotten for her two years before.

"Would that work?" He asked himself. But he didn't have time to think about it. Hope's eyes started to close, and her breathing was slowing.

He opened the capsule, releasing the particles.

They covered almost her whole body, but he made sure there was more where she was injured.

"Come on..." He pleaded.

The particles disappeared into her skin, and her broken leg straightened at once. He could see the color returning to her face. Even the spear wound closed up. Her eyes fluttered open, and she looked at him.

"Are you okay?" He asked her, still concerned.

She nodded.

She was okay, and so was he. In fact, she felt better than she had in a long time.

"What happened? Why aren't you at the safe house?"

"I flew over because I thought you might need help, and then I-" She was cut off by Scott kissing her. She didn't need to go any further. He saw what she did.

"You could've died." He said after pulling away. "You could've died too when you pushed me out of the debris. Now we're even." She smirked.

"Promise me you'll never do that again, okay? No matter what the circumstances are." He said.

"You know I can't promise that. You get in trouble too often." She joked.

He was about to respond, but then they both heard an explosion.

"Should we help them out, Ant-Man?" She asked. "That's what we do, Wasp." He smiled at her.

They both shrank and went to help win the battle.
