Hermione's POV
It was Halloween, and I was so excited. The party was tonight and I was going to see my best friends. What will they say about Draco? I thought, my mind racing. I hoped that no trouble would break out between them.
I ran over to my closet and pulled out my costume. I had worked so hard to make it perfect, and even finding the right spell to do so was hard! I put on the dress, slipped my feet into the delicate heels, and placed a veil on my head. I was Juliet Capulet, from Romeo and Juliet. My hair was reduced from its usual bushyness and I left some of my hair on my shoulders while the rest was covered by the veil.
I walked down the stairs to the common room and saw Draco. He gasped, and I blushed.
“Wow.. You look stunning.” Draco muttered.
“You don’t look too bad yourself.” I snorted.
To be honest, I almost laughed at the sight of him. He painted his face pale- more so than usual- and he wore a black suit and cape. When he smiled, his canine teeth grew into pointed fangs. But he did look very handsome, and I blushed again at the thought.
“A vampire? You seriously took my idea?” I laughed.
“What? And you must be the princess I have to save.” He chuckled.
“I’m Juliet Capulet!” I informed him, “And I saw you put down that book up the other day…”
“I looked at it! I never read it!” He replied his cheeks turning bright pink. I gave him a really? look and arched an eyebrow.
“I never read it!” He debated.
“If you say so…” I laughed again. We walked to the Room of Requirement together, and I got more and more nervous at the thought of meeting my friends- with Draco.
Draco’s POV
Wow, Hermione looked so beautiful. She took my breath away. I did read part of that book, and she looked just like I imagined Juliet to be. I was very nervous, meeting Potter and Weasley; we kind of... hate each other. But I’m willing to be friends with them, for Hermione’s sake. When we walked to the Room of Requirement, I didn’t even recognize it. The walls were black, and there were huge orange curtains around the edges. The ceiling was enchanted to look stormy, and every once in a while, lightning flashed. ‘How do they do that spell so easily?’ I thought to myself as I watched a crack of lightning overhead. Then I saw them. Potter, the two Weasels, Loony, and Longbottom.
“Hermione, look. Your friends are here, at that table.” I said to her. She squealed, and ran over to them.
Hermione’s POV
I ran over to Harry, Ron, Ginny, Neville and Luna. They were all dressed up; even Luna, who came wearing her quidditch-lion-cheer hat. Harry and Ron were wearing their old quidditch robes, Ginny was dressed as a pirate, and Neville was a king.
“Hey guys! I’m so glad you came!” I exclaimed, hugging all of them.
“We wouldn’t miss it for the world! And we wouldn’t pass up an opportunity to see you again.” said Harry excitedly. “And you look beautiful, Hermione. Juliet Capulet, right?”
“Yes, finally someone knows!” I said.
“Hermione, guess what?” Neville asked. “I’m going to be a Herbology teacher here next year!”
