"So Sonic do you have everything set up?"
Tails asked as he and the team were heading to the town village.
"Yup, Shade mention that she has a surprise for me set up in the town square"
Sonic said with excitement in his voice. Just as they close to the village, little childrens came running and crying.
"Sonic you have to help!"
Cried a little girl.
"There's an evil lady taking over the whole town"
A little boy cried. Sonic frown as he looked up ahead.
'Oh no, Shade. I hope you're okay'
He thought as he looked to his team.
"Come on you guys let's go"
As they arrived to the town they were in shock to see everyone tied up together in groups. Sonic looked up to see Shade with the Mayor tying him up.
"Shade what are you doing?!"
Sonic yelled. Shade looked down from the podium stand with a smirk as she saw her boyfriend.
"I'm calling it a gift with just a hint of sacrifice"
She said with a smirk as she looked to the mayor.
"On your hands and knees, porky"
"S-sonic, please do something"
He pleaded. Shade glared at the mayor as she kick him to the ground.
"Pathetic. I will not repeat myself. Listen all you sorry excuse for a life, this Island will no longer have a mayor"
She said causing everyone to gasp.
"This Island doesn't need a mayor. From this day forward, the village and the island will now belong to Sonic. Any objections will be immediately put to death."
"Shade, stop this, this isn't what I want"
Sonic pleaded as he got closer to his girlfriend. Shade frown.
"But I'm doing this for us, for you. Nobody appreciates you or even bother to thank you. They need to be punish"
"Then let Karma deal with them. Please you can get into a lot of trouble for this"
"Sonic..."
Shade said lowly before shaking her head and glaring at him.
"I am Karma and I am dealing with them"
"We'll talk about this later, but right now you need to untie everyone"
He said as he made a cue for to signal the others to untie everyone.
"Nobody moves"
She ordered causing Amy, Tails, Knuckles and Sticks to freeze on the spot.
"I tried to do something nice for you and this is what I get"
She said jumping down from the podium walking up to Sonic with her hands on her hips.
"Man, if this is nice, I would hate to see her mad"
Tails said to the others who nodded in agreement.
"Shade..."
Sonic began to say but Shade cut him off.
"Just forget it. I'm outta here"
She said walking away with a wave of her hand. After everyone was finally untied. The mayor walked up to Sonic.
"She is forbidden for ever stepping foot in this town, again"
Mayor said angrily as he stomp away from Sonic. Sonic let out a disappointed sigh as he slowly made his way to the forest where he knew Shade would be but was then stop by Shadow who looked angrier than usual.
"Did you took her out of the forest?"
He asked. Sonic frown in confusion.
"Yeah I did, why? What's the problem?"
"The problem is that I don't want Eggman finding out about her. She's safer inside the forest and because.....it's just safer"
He said with hesitation. Sonic shook his head in disbelief.
"But she's happier outside. I understand you're trying to protect but she's not a little..."
Sonic was cut off as Shadow took a step closer to him.
"She's not like you. She's an ultimate lifeform."
Sonic took a step back as he let out a sigh.
"What do you want me to do?"
"Keep her out of sight, keep her hidden. Is that clear?"
"Crystal"
Sonic responded as Shadow huff as he walked away.
'Man, Shade is definitely his daughter'
He thought as he made his way to the forest and found Shade sitting on top of the rock looking towards the water.
"Shade"
He said quietly. Shade's ear flicker at the sound as she let out a soft sigh.
"What I did was wrong, correct?"
She asked softly.
"No, you were just trying to give me an island and that was thoughtful of you but this island is already taken"
Shade nodded before turning around to face him.
"Don't sugar-coat it, I just wanted to see if you would lie to me or not"
She said with a grin causing Sonic to smile sheepishly.
"Well you got your answer"
He said as he walked up to her and grabbed her hand pulling her up on her feet.
"Come on, I have a surprise for you. Our Anniversary isn't over yet"
He said with a bright smile.
"What do you have plan?"
She asked with a raised eyebrow.
"A nice quiet dinner at the beach"
"It's not gonna be much quiet if you keep talking"
She said in a bored tone. Sonic quickly pulled her closer until their noses were touching.
"And how exactly are you gonna keep me quiet?"
He asked with a grin looking into her eyes lovingly. Shade let out a groan as he placed both her hands on his chest to give her some space but he remain holding her in place.
"Why do I always have to do your dirty work?"
She asked with a slight glare.
"Because you love me"
"Do I?"
"Yes you do"
"If you say so"
"Come on babe, say it"
"Nope"

He said in a sing along.
"I really don't"
"Really? But what if you met the right guy, who worshiped and adored you? Who'd do anything for you? Who'd be your devoted slave? Then what would you do or say?"
He said pulling her hands to his lips. Shade looked to him sternly.

She said as she removed her hand and pressed her lips to his.
"You're mine"
She said softly before pulling away. Sonic had a big smile on his face as he pulled Shade along for to head to there dinner.
