"Get to know me." Luke said and abruptly sat down in the seat across from mine. I was currently sitting in the library doing my homework until I got interrupted."What?" I asked and looked up from my work.
"Get to know me, you won't regret it." He said and laced his finger together over the table.
"What makes you think that?" I asked and leaned back in my chair.
"Because people love me." He said and shrugged his shoulders.
"How humble of you." I said sarcastically and rolled my eyes.
"I'm just saying." He said and shrugged.
"I told you I don't do friends." I said and crossed my arms over my chest.
"We could be more than friends." He said with a suggestive smirk.
"I don't even want to be friends with you, what makes you think I want to be more than friends?" I asked.
"If you get to know me then you will." He said surely.
"You're annoying, like really annoying." I said while he just laughed.
"Come to my game Friday." He said.
"No." I said and let out a scoff.
"Why?" He asked with an offended look on his face.
"I don't do baseball." I said which made him roll his eyes.
"You don't do many things do you?" He asked and I just shook my head.
"Come over tomorrow then. We won't have practice because of the rain and we can work on that packet for math." He said in a convincing tone.
"I don't like you you know that." I said and raised an eyebrow at him.
"You've made it apparent yes, but you have no reason not to like me. So I'm trying to get you to like me." He said which made me sigh.
"Why do you want me to like you so much? I'm nothing special, I won't add anything into your life." I said while he just shrugged.
"I want to argue, but if I don't know you then I can't. Maybe you are special, maybe you'll add something to my life. I don't know, but I want to." He said which made me purse my lips as I thought about it. I didn't trust people because of my past issues. That's why I didn't have friends and why I just stuck to myself. Something about the star baseball player wanting my attention didn't sit right with me.
"I don't trust you." I said and narrowed my eyes at him.
"I'll get you to trust me. I'm a very trustworthy person, you have no reason not to trust me." He said and I just shrugged.
"Hang out with me come on." He begged as the bell rang for next period.
"Fine, but this doesn't mean I like you. It just means that you've annoyed me enough to agree." I said as I packed up my stuff and got ready to go to class.
"Whatever it takes." He said with a smile and followed me to class.
